    Coronavirus

https://news.sky.com/story/covid-19-most-cases-now-like-severe-cold-and-omicron-appears-to-produce-fairly-mild-illness-expert-says-12497094 has there ever been a lockdown due to a cold before? that’s what sage are wanting https://www.telegraph.co.uk/global-health/science-and-disease/covid-news-coronavirus-christmas-omicron-cases-booster-test1/
  2. South Africa reporting only 1.7% of people with omicron admitted to hospital a country where only 36% of the population are vaccinated. Also it appears infections are dropping and they are past the peak. Not here though, tens of thousands will die, 5000 hospitalisations a day. Millions infected a day by January.
  3. Practise on the training ground then, not by giving the ball away every time on a match. At least JWPs free kicks made the goal, Salisu “long” throw in hardly make the penalty area
  4. They were worried about them being overwhelmed in 2019, before anyone had heard of covid https://www.theguardian.com/society/2019/dec/02/nhs-winter-crisis-extra-beds-created-by-52-per-cent-of-uk-hospitals It was apparently overwhelmed in January 2018 as well where there were going to be 50000 excess flu deaths. How did we cope?! https://www.independent.co.uk/news/health/flu-vaccine-deaths-nhs-ineffective-crisis-bad-weather-illness-2017-a8660496.html https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/03/world/europe/uk-national-health-service.html Oh wait it was in 2017 too https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-38853707 but surely it was fine in 2016? https://www.theguardian.com/society/2016/mar/10/nhs-hospitals-overwhelmed-patients-could-die-top-doctor Oh it wasn’t….
  5. There is definitely something not right, especially given he’s played for Scotland whist “injured”
  6. Until The next wave or variant. That’s what’s been said all along. Just a few weeks to save the NHS, just do this that etc, vaccines are the way out etc etc.
  7. He had it didn’t he? I can’t believe that he’d leave him out for something that is a matter of personal choice
  8. I do know a lad that has had long covid and side issues for over a year now. He’s still struggling with his breathing and can’t exercise like he used too, was an MMA competitor before covid, couldn’t punch his way out of a bag these days.
  9. Yeah I did, that’s why I isolated for 10 days when I had it and another 10 days when my wife had it before they changed that rule, that’s why I got a PCR test two days after coming back from holiday and that’s why im Not pretending the “experts” have said things they haven’t like you are.
  10. Excellent post and sums up my view as well. I’d be very interested to see the number of people who die with covid not because of it. I know Of 3 cases where people were going to die within weeks or even days caught covid in hospital and cause of death went down as covid. But we never see or hear any of that.
  11. Not lost but one of my best mates was in an ICU in a coma and on an ECMO machine for 9 weeks at the start of the year. 44 with no health issues. There was talk of turning it off and his wife and kids had been told to say goodbye. Somehow he pulled through and has made almost a full recovery. Although he actually has covid again right now, although this time he is fine and it’s little more than a sore throat and cold. Spoke to him earlier and he’s fine.
  12. Luckily the country is run by people like him. We wouldn’t expect people like you to understand
  13. Yep when you’ve got it 10 days isolation is fine. When you haven’t then carry on and sitting at home in your arse terrified to go out is bad. It’s not hard to understand
  14. “No I worked from home, I isolated for the 10 days and was still able to carry out my job”
  15. “No I didn’t. I kept working whilst lots of people were enjoying being paid to sit at home on their arses. I actually caught it myself but didn’t take a day off sick, I got the vaccine and took a calculated risk to carry on living a normal life as possible so your dad didn’t spend his childhood locked in the house getting fat and depressed”
  16. Or when grandchilden ask us what we did during the great pandemic of the 2020s we can tell them we sat on our arses watching Netflix as we were too scared to leave the house
  17. I rest my case
  18. its a bit like people who read/hear stuff and do not actually comprehend or listen to what the person has said. Instead they get all angry, sweary and name calling because they aren't bright enough or too deeply entrenched in their own position to dare to accept anyone might question it or have a different view, let alone bother to listen to what they're view is. It happens on here all the time, i would say a tactic but generally these people are too idiotic to have tactics. Wait.... that sounds like you! You do this all the time. Fuck me, no wonder your didn't understand what MLT actually said.
  19. true, stick to the party line otherwise loose lips sink ships.
  20. yeah but we'll be getting 50 million infections a day but then so everyone in hospitals will have it so no one to treat anyone.
  21. what narrative? I started out by saying that people hadn't actually understood what MLT was saying, which they haven't. I've no idea if it's vaccine/covid related or not and that's exactly what MLT said. We can all quote random examples of fit people having heart attacks but no one can deny there has been a big spike in cardic/breathing issues since covid.
  22. lad in our office had a moderna jab yesterday, fainted in the office this morning. Now in hospital having tests on his heart. Might be unrelated and a combination of the jab and doing too much at the gym this morning.
  23. no doubt more fake news 🤔
  24. So we're up to 4 in the 30 years before covid, (one of them Folkstone player!) any advance on 4? Aguero, Fleck, Linderof, Charlie Wyke. Just managed to list 4 in the last month.
  25. How is he putting peoples lives at risk?
