  1. What do you mean? I was just mentioning a few potential managers who would be interested and suitable for the role, I’d go as far as to say outstanding candidates. Not sure what BLM has to do with it.
  2. Who will replace him? Sol Campbell is available and ticks a lot of boxes Chris Houghton would probably get them back up I n a couple Of seasons David James wants to get into management or Les Ferdinand might fancy it after coaching and director of football at QPR
  3. Yep exactly, we aren’t in a strong position. The player wants to leave, he only want to go to one club and if we don’t sell him he can walk away for nothing in 12 months time plus we need him gone to crack on with our own plans, Levy will know this. There is no reason for Spurs to match Everton’s bid, simply try and do a deal for the best price they can get him for. The longer it goes on the weaker our position is. It’s a similar situation with the dead wood we want to shift, we’re in an extremely weak position with them as well. It’s a case with all of them of taking what we can get. All this talk of playing hardball with Levy or make him rot with the kids is laughable nonsense.
  4. Save a months salary. Typical saints, hold off as long as possible to save a few grand and someone nips in and takes him. Alderwereld, buttner, coutinho, Maddison. McGuire, Vardy, Promes, the list goes on, all players we dithered over to save a few quid, Semmens is trying to be Levy but was taught by Les, the ditherers apprentice showing us all now it’s done. Salisu will be in another teams shirt before he can say “I’m relaxed about it”
  5. Uh oh. We’ve not even met his release clause yet. Rennes back in. Semmens too busy flouting maxims with Adam Blackmore to get deals done it seems. If you’re not worried you should be. https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2020/rennes-dive-back-in-for-mohammed-salisu/
  6. Ollie Watkins is some player, he’d fit right into our system too. We probably won’t get him as not a priority position and they may well come up. We should try and recruit their scouting team though.
  7. For starters gone 3-5-2 as struggled for both full back positions Forecast Hoedt Caulker Steve Wood ripley Palmer Hughes Lemina Euell Beattie Austin Manager Branfoot
  8. Player hasn't yet made his mind up yet i heard - Premier league club with an amazing catchment area and the best shopping and school outside London v some French place no one has heard of. Croker couldn't sell a bar of chocolate to a fat kid, nice one Croker. 🙈 Wont be long before Ralph get p!ssed off and leaves as yet another prime target missed out on. 🙄 https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2020/mohammed-salisu-still-unsure-between-rennes-southampton/
  9. Welcome back toby alderweireld! PS I dont really think it's him
  10. They aren’t quality. They have good games but time and again they show lapses in concentration which leads to opportunities for the opposition, sometimes we get away with it sometimes we don’t. The lapses are often in games where we have most of the ball, both of them often caught out by a long ball forward or not marking players in the area properly and it’s happened regularly for the last 3 seasons. To be blunt the claim that they are good enough for Chelsea and everyone else outside the top 6 is laughable. There is a reason why we have the 6th worst goals against for the last two seasons and it isn’t because we’ve got two quality Centre backs.
  11. Also named after an area of the city so his family must have links to the area. Sounds like a goer.
  12. Any chance of copying the article onto here? be surprised is it was Disasi, reports said we were very close to signing him but pulled out at the last minute, presumably to get Salisu.
  13. Little clue or tease here maybe?
  14. If this guy is as potentially good as I’m reading then this is a massive coup. Clearly we will only get two or three seasons out of him if he gets anywhere near that level but we could have a hell of a player on our hands with potential to sell on for a huge profit in a few years. Good business.
  15. Im not comparing Love to anything, I’m asking you a few simple questions. For your feeling of love what tests and evidence did you set to prove it? What was the threshold for evidence you set to your girlfriend for her to prove her love for you and you for her? Was there an algorithm you used or a series of tests? You think people need tests And evidence to prove their Own emotions so a little surprising if you haven’t applied similar Criteria to your own and those around you.
  16. I’m not at all surprised. I’ve seen the state of our fans at train stations and I tend to avoid them as well.
  17. David Prutton goes to the same gym as me and is a decent enough chap, his son is often there wearing a Saints top. We also have a mutual friend he spends quite a bit of time with so get to hear some bits of info from them. He's just a normal bloke, normal house, car etc. Gareth Southgate is also a gym member and he is a very nice bloke, spoken to my son a few times and always give me "the nod" when we see each other, two masters of their industry showing mutual respect. Another none Saints player is Danny Mills who plays at the same golf club as a i do and also owns the building my companies office is in, he's not a bad guy either. Kenny Dalglish was at a business golf trip i was on in Spain a couple of years ago, again a perfectly decent guy. In the past i've met quite a few saints players and generally they are sound, Mrs Turkish worked at the club for seven years so got to see a lot of them at her work dos or out and about round town. As others have said MLT and Frannie are lovely blokes, Hassan Kachloul was another really lovely fella. Kevin Davies, Gary Monk, Wayne Bridge, Mark Draper and Beattie used to go in the rhino a fair bit back in the day when i was in there a lot, Beattie was a bit of a bellend although i think he's grown up a bit since those day, just a bit cocky and full of himself, the others were all pleasant enough. Had a great night drinking whisky with Jimmy Case, he was a good guy, just stood at the bar for a couple of hours chatting. I used to see Kevin Bond and Stuart Gray in the Corriander Lounge a lot when i lived in Southampton, both always friendly enough. Cortese was also a regular until he got banned and he was not. I think the nicest one i ever met (outside of MLT and Frannie) was Kevin Moore, he was a real gentlemen. When i was about 12 we did a school trip to the Dell and he was there doing some extra training, completely unprompted he signed some autographs and gave us a talk about what you need to do to be a pro football, that wasn't part of the day, we were meant to be just shown around by Alan Smith and one of the youth team but everyone loved it. Generally as long as you're not a weirdo stalker freak doing things like gawping at them in your saints shirt like nutcase and you dont go on and on, talking about tactics and money etc like some oddballs do then they are okay, they're just normal lads at the end of the day and dont really want to talk about work or be bothered by weirdos when they're relaxing, completely understandable.
  18. Do you? How do you know? What tests have you put into practice to define your love? Is it actual love or are you just delusional? Have you and she provided sufficient evidence that your relationship is based on love, if so what was it? What was evidential threshold did you set each other before you would confirm if it was love? I have every right to question your claims that you love your girlfriend and that you have provided substantial proof using the yardstick that you request from others where feelings and emotions are part of the equation.
  19. MLG, i believe you somehow have a girlfriend. Do you love her?
  20. The author is a guy called Wayne Veysey who has done hundreds of articles for football insider, claims many of them as exclusives or sources tell them. I looked him up on twitter and he has 244 followers. Along with the fact he's said every day for 4 days in an "exclusive" that we are about to announce the Salisu signing sound like football insider about as accurate as the transfer tavern.
  21. Agreed, when he was playing under Pochetino 6 years ago when in his physical prime he was knackered and often subbed after 70 minutes or so. Hes 32 now had a few injuries and well past his best, i dont see him as being who would fit into our current team, along with the fact his a snivelling little runt who should never come back anyway. Plus he's been bizzarely suggested as a replacement for Hojbjerg, when they are totally different players. Seems like it's more media speculation than anything of any substance.
  22. We could actually fix all their issues as we have a world class striker with a goal ratio of a goal every other game in the last year of his contract too. Forster, Hoedt, Carillo, 3 experienced top flight players with proven track records all available for the bargain combined fee of only £50m. We could even throw in the tenacious midfield general, champions league winning Lemina into the mix for an additional £18m.
  23. To be fair I think it’d more the chairman waving his dick about than any strategy. Bielsa isn’t the type to make big changes, they do need a striker though and a keeper and center back at least.
  24. Leeds in for Cavani. Why don’t we show that sort of ambition? I haven’t seen us linked with a big name over the hill international footballer on ridiculous wages since Cortese managed to persuade Alessandro Del Pierro he was better off moving to Australia than signing for us.
