Adkins interview on Saints Player indicated they expect him to play and he has trained whilst in Uruguay. Hassle wise its not really any different to playing a midweek Intl and then playing on the Saturday - although obviously he hasn't had the tire factor of a match to play, but obviously a tough week for him emotionally. NA said he will want to play.

This my favourite so far but might be tough for the Chapel mongs to follow. Probably best to go with "Jonno Quick duh duh duh duh". -

Forte isn't a Prem player - he was pretty poor in L1 and couldn't get a regular starting spot for Crawley. However - he did help us get up so lets recognise that for one game, then he will leave in Jan and we can rightly say he was overall one of the worst permanent signings we have ever made (apart from one half vs Mk Dons). -

Unfortunately one of those Tokoyo Saints or whoever they are "hijacked" it and got it moved to the Muppet Show. Shame, it was a good laugh that one. Those kind of threads are once in a mongboard generation - glad you enjoyed it. Re Jonno - I was being serious, huge contribution he made in that game alone. More in one game than people like De Ridder made in a season last year. -

Tha game highlights from Football league Show used to be on You Tube but i couldn't find them to add to the OP. Was a seriously big game that one - if we hadnt won we probably wouldnt have gone up IMO. Forte made a huge imapct from the bench in that one. -

Why would it be locked? -
I think it would be a good idea to recognise what Jonathan Forte did vs MK Dons on 2nd April 2011. Despite being less than two years ago, this two minute spell immensely helped us to reach the Prem, and whilst Jonno has largely been left behind, his contribution should be recognised. Now that he is back from loan at Crawley and therefore is likely to be at the game tomorrow, we should come up with a simple song or even use applause to mark his achivement. NA famously said the below when we signed him so maybe we could come up with a chant based around Jonno Quick? "He's lightning quick. When I talk about quick players I always say, 'Is he Jonno quick?" Ideas? "There's only one Jonno Quick"? "He's so quick, he Jonno Quick?" "Jonno Quick duh duh duh duh"?

Sorry - just funny to see a bed wetter out in force. Thought it was pretty obviously not true - basically was mocking how poor Forte is (couldnt even make the U21 team on Mon)
-
Sorry - was just on an obvious wind up. FAO Window Cleaner - don't assume NA is stupid - he knows Forte is rubbish hence why he is nowhere near our squad.
-
Probably the pens vs WBA, Swansea and Newcastle...
-
Of course he won't play for the first team - he is utter rubbish who has been totally marginalised and hasn't even got a squad number.

Newcastle target Lallana rumour in Daily Mirror

Yes - they have lots of writers. He is freelance. All his pieces are written with his name attached. -
Its been removed now it seems. It didn't say he was playing, just in the squad - maybe NA hadn't realised he was ineligible? Might explain the removal.
-
He has been recalled or his loan ended - was on the bench for the U21s the other day vs Manchester Utd. Its still appearing on my twitter feed. EDIT: Just refreshed and it seems to have disappeared...very strange.
-
In the squad doesn't mean in the starting lineup! Might not even make the bench.
-
Strange one this. Southampton FC @officialsaints Nigel Adkins confirms Jonathon Forte returns to the squad for the visit of Reading to St Mary's. No new injury concerns. #saintsfc

It was, exception rather than the norm though with him.
-
Ha - that probably right!
-
Never really get what the problem is with him? Seems to just be doing his job?
-
Usually about 2pm or so. There will be updates on Twitter. Imagine they will also unveil Julius Duncan beforehand and take the pics of him with the scarf etc.
-
Jimmy Kebe is out for them which is good. Although his final ball is poor his pace always seems to worry us.
-
Only on loan. Can't move permanently until the summer. Interesting the OS didn't say the length of contract.
-
Julius Duncan on Twitter: "Its going to be cracking working for #saintsfc"
-
More to the point I wonder if he has a "must play" clause in his contract? Good to see that Fitzhugh now has some competition in the Duncan stakes however. Healthy competition is good for maximising performance.
