We stopped using total zonal marking ages ago. Now we man mark the main threats with a few zonal players to cut out balls at the near post etc.

All Adkins seemed to change to me was that Ramirez, Cork and Shaw have come in - all of whom were largely unavailable before. The bed wetters who refused to give Adkins a chance to show what he could assemble with a fully fit team in the formation he wanted were wrong. Not saying you were one of them (each to their own) but there were lots of posters who said Adkins out - and that was clearly a knee jerk reaction and wrong.

Not a terrible set of results...
-
Ruddy subbed injured for Norwich.
-
Good result for us IMO

Lol, you are a fool. Should we sack Adkins then? Please just say yes or no (99% sure you won't commit).
-
1-1 now, sucker punch for Pools.
-
Naughton is a RB though, pointless having him and Clyne when other positions need additions.
-
Evan Horwood pen.
-
Cisse and Gutierrez fit.
-
Fair comments, worked out well for all parties.

So after having finally found a formation and personel for the 4-2-3-1 we should change, the week after our best win of the season...and whats more - drop one of the best performers from that game.

Best Saints Sponsor/Commercial Partner?

TY Beanie's or Jobsite probably. -
NA is always very coy with injuries though - usually you can spot who is missing from Saints Player, or THEVMAN might tell us.
-
On the Saints twitter Adkins says no new injuries...
-
AL was superb last week. Dropping him is absolutely pointless unless injured. Even for the mongboard this is pretty basic.
-
Surely the same as vs QPR but with any injured players replaced - no changes needed otherwise.

As it says in the title. I must admit to having held a soft spot for Dimplex - their heaters were always good quality and I buy them now even though they aren't associated with SFC anymore. Also liked it when NPower were a commercial partner - my energy supplier of choice.

We only have one point this season without Ramirez. Agree though any defender would be a loss apart from Shaw arguably. Central mid we can handle I think, and have some decent players to come in there compared to other areas. Gazza, Shaw or Puncheon would harm us least IMO.
-
We don't have many that are easily replaced. Big blow considering the Norwich game is so close too. Bet its either Lallana, Lambert or Ramirez.
-
Fair point - he did look very good last season and has good attributes. Just before Holloway left for Palace he did an interview saying that Phillips was very upset at not being allowed to move here in the summer and it had affected him so far this season. He said that perhaps Blackpool had been wrong to force him to stay as they always told their players that they wouldn't stand in the way of a good career move. IOn short - he hasn't become a bad player overnight, and IMO would give us the blistering pace we lack - but obviously a centre back should be priority 1.

This. Boruc has 40 caps for Poland and played virtually every match for Fiorentina last season, a decent Serie A team. Neither of the others have this kind of pedigree.

If he fined for mistakes Hooiveld will be seeing a debt management company soon.
