Ramirez is left footed an prefers playing advanced in the centre (ie where Lallana has been playing so far) or out on the right where he can cut inside. Don't think he has blistering pace (hopefully Phillips will provide that) but has effortless technique and drifts past players.

Phillips is much more suited to our system, plus has the pace we crave more than Jarvis.

No way that Jarvis is worth 9m or anywhere near it.

All in all Phillips is the almost perfect winger for our system and giving us that pace which we lack. He has also added goals in the last year or so. Plus he is still very young and has potential for further improvement. At the start of the summer, everyone on here would have been happy to sign him.

Phillips the ideal signing for us despite what some might say. One of those you hate plahing against because of the pace and directness.

I think everyone knows. As above, be patient, wait til end of window and assess then. That plus Im not sure what you really expected as I think our three main signings are good. When you posted a list of players you felt we should target instead it was largely ripped to shreds. Be patient a couple more weeks and if we still havent further improved the squad I will agree it was a poor summer.

It also shows that loads of business is done late in the window and there is no point comparing other clubs business to ours until that point when the window shuts!

That in comparison to other clubs we are doing ok and there isnt a major problem as you suggest.
