Strangely I believe a journalist attached to the selling club more than someone here. He hasn't signed......yet.
-
He seems pretty sure, more talks tomorrow.
-
@SimonPeach Hi Simon, today much talks between clubs but no deal done, at the moment. And tomorrow Bologna's gm is at Calcioscommesse trial
-
Have you got a link to that?

http://www.gianlucadimarzio.com/calciomercato/bologna-nuovo-summit-per-ramirez-i-dettagli/ Meeting to try and reach an agreement in about an hour. No agreement yet.
-
He was definitely in Italy for that game but clearly has been here for talks too...
-
Something will have to give on this: good offer and transfer request hasnt made any impact...will run on for a while I reckon.
-
We are close to securing our most high profile signing for years (probably my whole lifetime apart from when we signed Stig Johansen). Might as well enjoy it, what will be will be.
-
All the real stories are on Twitter now.
-
Depends where Ramirez himself is. Would still have to do medical etc...even if a deal is agreed.
-
FFS How were we gazumped by man Utd for Buttner? We pulled out ages ago!
-
Latest update/summary: Tancredi Palmeri @tancredipalmeri Ramirez: deal was basically done, but his interview drove mad Bologna mgmt.Today Southampton and Bologna on meeting in England 1/2 2/2 Ramirez: what still missing? 3 more millions for Bologna and payment of 50% of the total within 2012. Percentage of success: 90%

Clearly advanced talks...in everyones interest to get it done. Tomorrow will be key - the longer it goes unsigned after tomorrow the less likely it is I reckon. With the player already aligned it all hinges on whether we can agree with Bologna and Penarol.
-
True - you never know til its signed - thats why we need to get it done ASAP and sounds like Cortese is trying to do that today. Liverpool fans on Twitter still hopeful of signing him, and they might have an interest now Sahin looks to be off to Arsenal.

HCDAJFU - The transfer deadline countdown

Adkins has said that we will bring in a CB or two. We will, but maybe not until after Wigan. -
Wouldn't take any notice of this. I would say our transfer dealings have been good since Cortese joined - of course some don't make it over the line but without good additions we wouldnt have got this far.

Could tell he was class for Anderlect against us. Don't think we overly need any other central midfielders but couldn't say no to this guy. EDIT: We might have asked about him but he will only leave for a team in Europe: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/8005625/Biglia-wants-bigger-club

He also didnt think De Rossi would improve Man City... Nixon on Twitter says he has heard from two good sources that Saints are very confident on Ramirez...also said he has a story about another target in the Mirror Onlien tonight.

Nixon saying Saints are very confident on Ramirez...also he has a story for Mirror Online tonight about another target...not a CB though - he says as far as he knows we don't have a firm target yet (must be waiting for a few things to fall into place). -
If it goes through we should fax him a copy of the transfer papers.
-
Pretty much sums it up. Have to say that its great we have an actual policy when it comes to transfers. When you see Sunderland signing the likes of Saha for a final pay day and QPR anyone with a pulse ie Johnson, Nelson etc it is refreshing that we are doing things differently. I hope West Ham are pleased with James Collins - Im glad they have got him.

As good as yesterday's performance was....
Saint Charlie replied to The Kraken's topic in The Saints
Just saying that from their point of view those goals had elements of fortune in, as much as obviously they were the best team and deserved their win. You need that to win games sometimes, or as we showed, to come close to getting a result when the odds are stacked against you. Look at Chelsea in the CL final. No team will ever get a good result at City (even if good is a 3-2 defeat) without getting a bit of luck at some point. -

Could argue City were lucky - the second and third goals the ball fell so kindly for them... Just enjoy that Saints performance against the second or third best squad in the world. -
