Is Baldock better than Waghorn? Possibly not, he is just in vogue at the moment.
-
He was good enough for Leicester to spend 3m on him previously.
-
He is good enough to be in the Eng U21's.
-
Overrated, nowhere near as good as Guly, Lambert, Barnard, Connolly - not what we need.
-
Also Baldock could only really play up with Lambert, Waghorn could play with Connolly and Barnard too.
-
Waghorn not wanted by Leicester in the way we didn't want Dexter Blackstock - doesn't mean he is a bad player.
-
Waghorn would also be good, he is part of a strong Eng u21 squad.
-
Hope so, he is a good player who has lost his way under Sven. He is in the latest Eng U21 squad alongside some impressive names.

No way Barney will be involved, Dickson, Forte or Holmes way more likely - if anyone!
-
If anyone hasn't seen his hattrick the other day: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14609280.stm
-
If there is another player involved then he would need to agree terms as well - can't see Dons being able to match Dickson's wages for example, they must be pretty low payers.
-
Interesting. Thanks - hopefully all done then. Big price tag but loads of potential.

MK Dons fans saying they have heard it is done too, some speculation of a player in exchange.... http://www.concreteroundabout.co.uk/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2431&p=32952#p32952 Our new no 11 perhaps. Or 19.

I think Fourth Official is just very on the ball with rumours/twitter then repeats things he has heard with a lot of confidence. If he said that Exeter were set to sign someone and then they do tomorrow it has probably been all over a fan forum the day before, yet apart from that teams fans people wouldn't be aware of the deal until it is announced.

FFS, I am 100% sure that come a few months time Cork, Fox and de Ridder will be first choice players. Did you expect Fox to come straight in for Harding who has done nothing wrong this season? After 1.5 training sessions with the squad? Likewise it is clear De Ridder has great qualities but is being eased in, as one would expect for many foreign players. It is pointless referring to the likes of N'Guessan (so you would have dropped Lallana or Aoc?) or Stephens because we only needed cover! Clearly we want a CB and a striker and I don't think the Bristol City captain would have come here to sit on the bench, do you? Likewise whatever striker we get. When you win 4/4 you aren't going to chop and change each time a new player signs, give it time and they will force their way into the team.

Sounds quite plausible they could have Maynard in by Sat.
-
I don't think Saints are so naive to get messed about without having other options etc. So far we have done ok, I'm sure we will get the right couple of players in.
-
Quite possible he wanted a 3yr contract, we would only commit to 2 and Reading came in and offered 3.
-
Cork must be too old now as well. Waghorn included ahead of Jay Rodriguez.
-
Good to know we are conducting thorough medicals!
-
Ahead of the 6m man Jay Rodriguez as well!
