Played two games and the best thing is the long passing, totally transforms the game.

Fox's technique and composure on the ball is a step up from Harding or Dickson, no question of that.

He is very good on the ball and delivers a nice cross, he really suits our attacking game but he was caught out a few times either because he was too far forward or had little protection in front of him. We are an attacking team and will always be susceptible to getting caught out, but whilst we are scoring and playing some great footy I don't think it is overly concerning.

Made sense with players available. We clearly didn't buy Fox to be on the bench.

Davis has been shaky recently. Lets give Forecast a game behind a decent back four rather than in the reserves.

Eccelston is poor, was rubbish for Huddersfield and Charlton.

Hopefully he will do well. A bit odd that our most expensive buy this window has been a left back.

Would have to be happy if we signed Beckford. He is a proven goalscorer and would add the pace in behind that we lack. Lets see...

Superb player. If he can improve his shooting slightly then he could be an England player IMO. He will be in the Prem next season with or without us, and rightly so.

An Everton fan just called 606 and said he ended up at the game and that there was some great football, largely from Saints. He highlighted Cork and said that some of our play put their big spending to shame. Said Schmeichel made several class saves for them. Just thought I would mention.

I reckon Waghorn just needs his confidence back. You clearly don't move for 3m and get picked by Eng u21s if you are a bad player.
