    Che Adams

Don't these guys ever do any training? 🙂
  2. Andi Zaqiri from Brighton - has good movement and scores all types of goal. Rak-Sakyi from Palace - very quick and a bag of tricks with an eye for a goal.
  3. Still not fully fit.
  4. Check again on Friday - I've a feeling it's going to be squeaky bum time for us.
  5. This is my issue. Whether Che goes or stays we need 2 good options for his role. For me if he stays we need to sign one striker and, if he goes, we need to sign two. I don't think we currently have anyone at the club good enough to play what I would call the strikers role apart from Che. The QPR game highlighted this - we tried AA up top and it was hopeless but improved marginally when we brought Mara on and dropped AA back. Unfortunately Mara is not yet good enough so, if Adams stays we still need a decent back up striker to cover when he is unavailable.
  6. Yes, another of many scenarios. I guess we'll know soon enough which one comes to pass.
  7. Depends whether he backs himself as good enough to attract offers next season and if, as a free agent, those offers will be better. Does he turn down extra money for the next 12 months and assume he'll more than make up for that at the start of next season? It's a tricky one for us and Che.
  8. Yes be like when we put 9 past their keeper McClaren then signed him 🙂
  9. Seems to me he'd go to any Prem club that offered him a decent contract. Looks like he'll wait it out then, if no offers come in, he'll sign his contract extension with us. This scenario obviously leaves us vulnerable to being left scratching around late in the window if he goes unless we give him and his agent a set deadline.
  10. Sorry, didn't realise we were talking about Che.
  11. Wouldn't mind Ben Johnson tbh.
  12. Read the threads properly rather than putting words in people's mouths. By the way, I see you are seemingly quite comfortable about possibly losing KWP as you don't think he's been that good and is easily replaced by the multitude of good right backs available. I'd wager you are in the minority there but perhaps you're right.
  13. Who suggested that?
  14. I didn't say KWP was off or that I assume he is. Merely pointed out Spence as a possible option if he does leave. If you have a good source that KWP is happy to stay then that's great news. Let's see what happens.
  15. So he went on loan from Boro to Forest because he has an attitude problem which didn't stop him performing superbly at Forest? He'll be great for Leeds and we should have been in for him if there is any indication that KWP goes in the next few days. There are few better right backs available at the moment.
  16. The optimum word being 'currently'. I'm saying if the club know of any potential transfer of KWP they should be looking at Spence to replace him.
  17. Didn't seem to affect him at Forest.
  18. If KWP is going we should be all over this.
  19. JW will presumably handle transfers and be in contact with RM by telephone. Just hope we don't leave all our business until Friday.
  20. Why would we help Leeds, a promotion rival, get Spence when he should be our own target since he's better than Drameh. Drameh, no Drameh!
  21. I wouldn't count Norwich out, think they'll be right in the mix of clubs chasing automatic promotion.
  22. Would take Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sayki on loan to replace Tella if we could get him. 20 years old and looks a great talent. They'd never agree to sell him so would have to be a loan.
  23. Baz KWP Bednarek Holgate Manning Downes Charles AA Alcaraz Che Fraser
  24. Good luck to crazy Lyanco. He was never dull that's for sure and he didn't hide his passion for the cause even if his actions on the field were sometimes a bit reckless.
  25. And would you want us to be promoted with a squad like their's? I think a balance needs to be struck. Yes, loans are a great idea but, on their own, they are not enough. They should be mixed with players permanently signed by us who have been scouted for their current ability and potential to play at a higher level and who can develop an extra level of loyalty and affinity to the club which may be missing in loan players. We can't expect to have a squad stuffed with loan players and then get promoted and bin them all off and start again, it has to be more structured than that. I get that hopefully it may be possible to get permanent deals for selective players on loan. We are making great strides and, for once, have made a strong start but you can't put all your eggs in the loan basket. We won't get where we want to be without spending a wedge of money, it's not possible. Yes, Dragan will rightly want to recoup some of his losses from last season's poor signings but surely not at the expense of missing out on good players we could sign now without breaking the bank to build a team that evolves and grows over the season. I'm hoping JW and RM are smart enough to steer us through the Championship and back into the Premier league with the basis of a squad that will be able to first survive then establish a firm foothold to give us more chance of avoiding being perennial strugglers. Maybe that's too much to ask and a lot of wishful thinking.
