If he plays, we are foooked.

There is no way Cameron will take us out of the EU whilst big business wants us in. Now, if he can strike a balance between the Single Market and getting back political and fiscal powers then he'll hit the jackpot.

So my Slovakian neighbours, who have lived here 6 years, whose kids are as English as mine, who both work full time in decent jobs, who love living here and consider it home, should be deported so a Brit be forced to do their jobs? I can see employers across the nation rushing to sack their hard working Eastern Europeans and welcoming Brits with open arms. No, really, I can, they'll think it's a great Idea.

I'd leave this thread with to those with the ability to think and reason, something you've never shown to possess.

That's the sort of decision where DC should have "stood up to Europe".
-
One could suggest that it wasn't the best thing, more the only thing. And, for the record, I was always anti as were everyone I know, left & right, bar 1, and that was for business reasons only.

Winchester Bus 2 - VFTT + Jr & Corky Morris + Jr -
Yep. As it was explained to me yesterday by someone in the business, German/France can now dictate how banking within the Euro circle can be conducted and as sure as God made little green apples it will the at the expense of The City. He's suitably concerned that he's decided not to move house and increase his mortgage as he predicts serious trouble ahead. As I said earlier, we are still bound by the same rules/regs, still pay the same amount and have been excluded from future modelling of the Euro economies and The City isolated so I can't se how we've "won" anything but unsure what could have been done differently. DC appeared hamstrung by internal politics.
-
Wasn't his contract agreed by the shareholders prior to his bank crashing down?
-
No, they're not, they are unsure about what's going to happen in the middle to long term and the market rose on a Euro rescue, not the actions of HMG. I travel and sit at Saints with a City boy and as he said, we won't know what the real outcome is until Germany/France make their move.
-
The fact the The City aren't jumping for joy speaks volumes and the silence of the CBI is deafening. It appears to me, increasingly, that the UK government have been totally out maneuvered by the French & Germans. I genuinely don't know what the answer is but we are still spending the same on the EU, are still governed by the same rules and regs but appear in a much weaker position and on the way to an "out" vote, which The City and business don't want.

The official unofficial January transfer targets thread..

As well as his continued ramblings about failing in the play offs due to lacking bottle that the mouth breather repeated ad nuseum last season. -
The problem is Um is that the right wingers cannot fathom that many of us left of centre also do not want a "Europe" in its current guise but also don't want to throw out the baby with the bath water.

Are people still waiting for Pompey ticket email?

Pass. They said that they'd be able to be collected in Winchester on Sunday but with the state of the organisation who really knows? I'll call them on Monday and see how the land lies otherwise I may have to ask someone to collect them for me and post them up to the grin North. -

That's not an option for me though, nor is it for plenty of others. -

23.32 and I get an email saying I can collect my 2nd lot of tickets from Monday. Fu cking incompetent idiots. -
Not really. We are paying the same amount in and are govern by the same rules and regs we were a week ago. He's clawed back nowt but given away our voice at the top table. I fear he's been played like a fiddle by the French and Germans and the undoubted push by the tory right for a referendum could rip his party asunder.
