  1. I also did agency work on the removal wagons whilst at uni and that was bloody hard work. Sweated so much one roasting workday, humping office furniture up 4 floors, that my @rse cheeks chaffed and I had to put nappy rash cream on when I got home!
  2. Chapel End Charlie had be thinking, with his obvious dislike of his menial factory job, what's the worse job you've ever done? Mine would be working in an industrial deep freeze from 06.00 - 14.00 at the chilly temp' of -36C on a very low wage. Did it for 6 months. How the blokes did it for years on end was beyond me.
  3. I did. I even suggested that they email it to me, I print it, sign it and return it. Nope, was the reply. Have to do it there and then. As I mentioned, I'm thankfully in a position that it will have no impact but it does strike me as not understanding that not all fans live in the shadow of SMS.
  4. Usually we'd have dozens around where I live with Martins nesting under neighbouring house eves. We'd sit out in the garden of an evening and watch them, my kids thought them great. This year nothing and friends elsewhere are saying the same. Is it the same everywhere?
  5. Muppet. I've been there, seen it, done it. I then used my brain and got myself out of it. Try it.
  6. I wonder what his acquaintance at the club, whom he sees socially every two weeks or so, has to say on the matter? They inside info' was always so, so, so accurate.
  7. So the government are lying then when they say that the LGPS is in credit and will be for at least the next 25 years?
  8. Get a better job then, that seems to be the mantra of the private sector.
  9. No, I don't and frankly I'm surprised anyone does.
  10. If you think £22k is well paid then you are living in LaLa land.
  11. He's really bitter and it really shows. Good work chaps.
  12. 44 in physical years but I've never got beyond 24 in my head.
  13. Oooooooooo. Good find.
  14. Well that makes sense.
  15. As I understand it the new generation ones work on daylight as opposed to direct sunlight.
  16. Having now read it all I see it is indeed job n knock.
  17. Great news. Thanks for the info'.
  18. So let's get this right. I can buy my season tickets for my nipper and I but I can't have them until I prove my 9yo is actually 9yo despite him having a season ticket for 2 years and I can only do this my taking his ID to the TO which I can't do until the Millwall game due to living 150+ miles away and going on holiday?
  19. I'm willing to bet it's job & knock. It's totally and utterly insane money.
  20. The Local Government Pension Scheme runs at a surplus and is projected to for at least the next 25 years (as far as the projections have been made) which is why HMG are holding separate talks with the likes of UNISON and the reason that their members haven't been balloted. The Hutton report states that and HMG accept that. Still, let's not let the truth get in the way and let's make up things about 1/3 of council tax. Idiots.
  21. That was (don't know if still is) used to heat the CC in Soton and it's about to be used in Newcastle.
  22. Thankfully I've money enough to pay in full but it doesn't alter the fact that it's an insane decision and as with other decisions by the club such as the concession rise to 65+, poorly thought out.
  23. You always have been and always will be a total c o c k.
  24. The lass said that I'd have to be there to sign the DD there and then and give it straight to them, there and then.
