  1. Take off your blue tinted glasses mate as you sound as deluded as those wearing red ones. Thatcher and Major were the friends of manufacturing in the UK. Yes siree, they were a force for good f'sure.
  2. I'm sorry, but that's bollixs. It was Thatcher who let loose the City and successive governments of all hues that have carried on with letting them run riot. Governments across the political spectrum have been forced to bail the investment banks out and if that isn't a failure of capitalism I don't know what is.
  3. Nowt to do with the pitch yesterday. Heavily sanded in places but seemed flat enough and didn't cut up badly.
  4. Spot on. If the skates who have never hid and thus, I believe gained our respect, had come on and just said something about how great it feels to have something to shout about amongst all the gloom, most of us would have accepted it. But no. The gutless ones who have hidden during the bad news come on shouting about how wonderful they are. For those in the latter group I really do hope their club ceases to exist.
  5. Pardew has got things very wrong at times this season but yesterday wasn't one of them. Poor finishing and poor refereeing did it.

  7. What some of our less bright skates fail to grasp is that nothing has changed. Enjoy your SF, hopefully against Spurs so it hurts even more when Arry knocks you out, and then wave goodbye as your club dies before your eyes.
  8. Unfettered capitalism has really shown itself to be the way forward over the last couple of years. Thank god it has hasn't taken direct intervention into the free market by governments to prop up the system. That would be really bad wouldn't it.
  9. There was a stunned silence in our end and after watching it on iplayer it appears our gut instinct was correct. No pen'. One of the lads I go with said during the 2nd half that the ref was going to make a big decision which would win/lose the game and whatever way the decision went, it would be wrong. How right he was.
  10. You were just behind me to the right. I was with the two young kids who were there around 2pm.
  11. Be interesting to see where people were sat for the pen' claims. I was to the right of the goal so was looking to my left for the Fonte foul and from where I was it did look as if he'd gone over via a defenders leg. The LB foul was right in front of Corky & I and was the most blatant of two handed pushes that you'll ever see.
  12. Leeds. 55 consecutive away sell outs.
  13. Where was that? I was sat to the right of the goal as you look towards the pitch and saw nowt. Didn't see owt walking past the cowshed with the kids back to the car either.
  14. LOL at the skate muppet. Clueless and gutless.
  15. That's just as I saw it too.
  16. So we never turned over high flying teams over when we weren't expected to? It happens and today it happened to us. Poor finishing and terrible refing cost us today, not formation, tactics or pitch.
  17. Please never do it again as it makes me feel unclean.
  18. What a pathetic comment.
  19. And if AL and to a lesser degree LB had taken their gilt edged chances we wouldn't have been in that position. That's before I mention the two handed pushed on LB which was a stick on pen'. But hey, you saw the game so you know that.
  20. Good god, what a co*k you are. No team ever wins every game but we had the chances today, unlike the games you mention so it wasn't the set up, tactics or owt else but poor finishing and poor refing that cost us. As I actually saw the game I guess I'm better placed that you to judge the performance.
  21. And you can say that about todays game after seeing it of course? Oh, no, you can't. We had the chances 2nd half to wrap it up but poor finishing let us down. That has nowt to do with AP but the decision making of the players.
  22. Nice to see that the usual co*ks who weren't at the game are having their rant. Poor finishing and terrible refereeing did us today.
  23. Just back myself. Poor game made infinitely worse by the worst refereeing performance I have seen in many, many, many a year. That said, we had two golden chances 2nd half which I would expect to be buried. We were denied two clear penalties IMHO of which the 2nd was a blatant foul but Fonte gets booked. I feel we threw 3 points away today due to poor finishing and were robbed of 1 by a terrible ref'.
  24. But the collective value of sales per council would have gone someway to replacing stock. The law did not allow this which was a deliberate decision and deeply flawed IMHO.
