  2. Virtually no change for me. https://www.politicalcompass.org/analysis2?ec=-4.38&soc=-5.33
  3. I'm 1/2 way through Daredevil and it's surprisingly good.
  4. Everything bad = leftie w**kers whose sole motivated is jealously and envy. Everything good = Righteous righties whose sole motivation is to help the poor and the needy. You make Pap look balanced.
  5. I guess the easiest way to sum it up is that they see lots of old, white men waffling on about things in a patronising way & that they believe that those people aren't interested in them or have no idea about "real life." We've just done a big election thing with 4 local academies from Y11 to Y13 as well as local 6th form. UKIP won, Greens 2nd, Lib Dem 3rd, Labour 4th & Tories last. The number 1 issue, bar none, was immigration.
  6. Agreed but anything that attempts to engage young people is sound by me. We are doing some election stuff in conjunction with the 6th Forms. The apathy and disengagement of the young people is shocking.
  7. As discussed on the Brand thread, regardless of our views of the man, many young people listen to what he has to say and agree with him so it's a pretty shrewd move my Labour IMHO.
  8. We moved based solely on the schools. Where we used to live there were middle class "professional bubbles" around the better schools driving the prices through the roof. We moved back to the north side of Stafford giving us the choice of good primary and good secondary schools. No regrets in doing it at all.
  9. The tory lad is getting ripped apart on Daily Politics as the tory central office produced the letter for the Telegraph themselves. They forget to remove the metadata tag.
  10. And every time any of them open their mouths the bullsh*t just spews forth.
  11. Abolish stamp duty for 1st time buyers. The debate earlier in the thread, from both sides of the divide, was almost wholly in agreement with getting rid of stamp duty all together. Your issue is that Labour have said it.
  12. We'd done the club ride, about 20 of us and 5 of us were heading off to do a 100km loop. In the countryside riding 2-1-2 with me in the back two on the inside. A dog was on the road so we swung out to go around it. As I was on the inside I looked down to make sure I was past it just as the rider in front on me decides to brake almost to a stop to tell the house we were passing that their dog was in the road. I tried to go around him but a front spoke hit his outside QRS sending me over the bars. Landed on my forehead, then glasses, nose and then chin, which was opened right up. The people whose dog it was had a 1st aid kit which we used to stem the bleeding, which was pis sing out of me & a bloke in a van stopped & gave me a lift back to the bike shop and then I headed off to A&E. Bloke who caused it paid for the bike repairs and a new lid, which was wrecked. The road rash is stinging today and the wife has grounded me but I'll be back out tomorrow hopefully.
  13. Bit sore, scuffs and cuts on knees, hands etc. Mits, lid & glasses f**ked. Guy who caused it paid for repairs and a new lid. I'll be out for a spin tomorrow. Even managed to stop my Garmin.
  14. Big off today when an bloke in front of me braked when we were at tempo for no reason. 16 stitches in the face. Bike is fine though.
  15. I never had you down as someone who would be suckered on by political propaganda. Just goes to show how wrong I was.
  16. It's of total relevance it just doesn't fit your agenda. SNP are playing a longer game here and it's all about Scotland.
  17. Governments and businesses encouraged the cheap credit/big debt society; all have a degree of responsibility in creating the culture that prevails today. How we change that mindset I just don't know as I'm from the school of "tight bas_tard" so it's an anathema to me.
  18. Not as wrong as yours. The SNP knows very well it has a chance to bury Labour in Scotland and to become "the natural party of government" up there. It has sweet FA to do with national politics.
  19. You tory boys would say that though. Standard mantra.
  20. Of course it is Jamie, of course it is.
  21. Very worth mentioning as we all have the option to buy cars with zero excise so the car tax, as you call it, would appear a better option than your suggestion, don't you think?
  22. No party has changed the bands for the same reason, suicide IMHO. Pretty obvious that it needs doing.
