I've no doubt the system gets abused, every system does to some degree but I can only comment on what I saw every time I was there. What struck me at the time and has stayed with me, is the lack of hope in the faces. Smethwick has grinding poverty, of course not on 3rd world levels, but on a level that all of us on this thread would struggle to comprehend. These weren't folk looking to save a few quid to buy some baccy (no one smokes "proper" fags when they are poor) this were folk at the very bottom. To me, people spouting off about what these folk may or may not do, may or may not posses illustrates their complete lack of empathy for those worse off than them, and that's a bit sad.

So you still can't answer yes or no. Personally I think you get off on black guys getting shot.

I've seen foodbanks in action in Smethwick, about 4 years ago the 1st time. Jesus what a downbeaten mess of humanity I witnessed. These folk really couldn't have fallen much further. Strangely my reaction wasn't "f**k em, I bet they smoke" but immense gratefulness at what I had in life & pity for them.

Oh I'm very intelligent hence wanting to keep the tories out. Now run along and let the adults bicker.
-
I'd vote for the devil himself if it kept the tories out and would never pretend otherwise.

Trippier would be an excellent replacement. He'd be my 1st choice. -
Doffs cap.

We went on a coach from a pub in town down by the parks up from what used to be The Eagle. I can't remember an awful lot as I was only 9 but I remember being given a bottle of pale ale.

I'm just off to the Britannia for a spot of lunch. #justsaying.

I'd guess Saints really want him to stay but with only a year remaining on his contract and a six figure wage at one of the world's biggest clubs on offer, we've no chance. -

Perhaps I should have worded it differently. Clyne's "people" have agreed the deal with Utds "people". The person who told me this is the same person who told me the details of the Shaw deal before it broke. Take it or leave it, I give not one toss. -

As I mentioned early on the thread, all parties reached a gentlemans agreement ages ago, or so I was informed. -
I work with some young families who wouldn't be able to either A) have kids B) return to work after kids if it wasn't for the grandparents as the price of childcare is so astronomical. Both sets of grandparents live miles from us but they would have been a godsend if they'd been closer. I like the policy but how it would be implemented? I just don't know.

I wonder how they decide what to build where?
-
None round us. Another big estate being built and all 3/4/5 bed.

F**king hell gents, Pap, despite is rambling at times, has never said anything about kicking his mum out just simply laid out a scenario where he could buy his mums house and take ownership after 3 years, that's all. Stop being so f**king pathetic.
-
What I don't get, and I hope someone can enlighten me, is why the major house builders seem to only build 3, 4 & 5 bed houses on the new estates. Quite often around here they are only 4/5 bed developments, priced insanely high, which then seemed to be heavily discounted before they shift. The place is crying out for fair priced starter homes but they just don't seem to be being built.

Easy, he had family court violations and didn't want to be arrested. Does that mean he deserved to be shot in the back 8 times? A simple yes or no will do.
-
Oh dear. I'd stick to your fanboi thread nipper, this is all a bit too much for you.
-
These aren't council houses, they are housing association stock we are talking about. I reckon, just maybe, go and have a read up on Right To Buy as you've not a scooby.

Keeps the tories out so great by me.

It was a simple question even for the hard of thinking so try and answer it with a simple yes or no, even a man of your modest ability should be able to do that. If you run away do you deserve to be shot in the back 8 times?
