Actual players we have signed? I think the broad consensus is that Tadic was a good signing and the pelle has potential but could go either way. Bertrand split opinion and these other two we have been linked with seem rather average. IMO other than Tadic we aren't seeing anything to suggest we are going to be anywhere near what we did last year, despite the pretty words from Les and Ralph. If that makes me a bedwetter then so be it

I see people going mad once again because some posters have dared to suggest that more signings are generally underwhelming. Pretty standard on here.

Until proven otherwise, this is where my money is.

I think most are fed up with talking about players we might sign and would prefer some exciting players we have actually signed.

He didn't say we weren't linked with others did he. So far have made no signings after Ralph has spoken to suggest that we aren't significantly downgrading on last season. Remains to be seen if we can get any big name signings over the line.

Schneiderlin always seemed intelligent and articulate for a Frenchman to me. Going by his twitter outburst, the reality seems rather different.

Would they? Out of interest which people would they be? Pre season results are for fitness and trying out a few things from the training ground. The results have always meant nothing for all teams and that would be the case if saints had had good or bad results.

Not sure you can call him a class act yet. I remind the fine words from Adam last year and then his actions this year. If he stays for a few years amid interest from bigger teams then I'll call him class.

Where is the evidence that the academy could close?

If this summer has taught us anything, it's that we shouldn't believe that any of the players are more loyal than any other. It's all about the money.

I think that isn't very realistic personally but I hope that's true.
