Not sure about anyone else but I'm entirely realistic about our chances next season. I remember when we were last in the prem with the great escape. I actually think expectations will be a lot lower on here. It was only because we were in a poxy league like league one that we expected to win most weeks and got annoyed. When we play the big teams I expect most people will think we will lose.

I imagine (though I don't know for certain) that Markus would want to sell to the right people so it wouldn't be to just anyone. The individuals in the consortium are not unknown to the player but for obvious reasons he didn't want to divulge any identities. Of course it could be a completely pointless exercise on his behalf but I believe it is still worth discussing (especially as others have heard similar on here in the last year or two) and he has believed it enough to delay his acceptance of a job offer on five live at any rate.

For obvious reasons he didn't want to go into too much detail as it was in the early stages of any discussions. If they took over I believe he was asked to be involved in some way with the scouting setup, but again he didn't go into details.

As I told you an ex saints player who I sit with sometimes at games told me that he has been offered a few jobs next year including with five live but was holding off in case a takeover of the club happened. He had been approached by someone representing a consortium who was looking to do just that and had offered him a role in the scouting setup.
