They are indeed. Really liked Viafara when he was here.

So no Chamberlin? Who is on the right?

I believe this was the website of the bloke. Mark Saunders was his name. http://www.spectacle.co.uk/spectacleblog/london-2012-olympics/ Here is a talk he gave: http://www.gamesmonitor.org.uk/node/815

I believe you are a documentary maker? (Of sorts.) I am surprised you have not heard more about this. I went to an interesting talk by a man who has followed the olympics for a few years and has actually gone and spoken to people affected by various olympics. I spoke to him at length afterwards and some of the stories he told me were staggering. I am looking for his website and if I find it you can see for yourself and possibly read it with an open mind, or do you not practice what you preach?
-
Not racist but a total waste of money, doing damage to a number of businesses and local residents? Sure. The olympics is a massive rip off and swindle. It should have a permanent residence in Athens to stop the horrendous waste.

The bbc has to appeal to a wide demographic. This will include rubbish BBC programmes which will appeal to a number of people but not me or you. The diversity of programming is what makes it great. If you are saying that overall the BBC is dumbing down then that's a different debate but don't use one particular channel to support that argument.

The school got the best results in the area. Knowing the type of person I am, the private school that I went to allowed me to get the best results that I could. I had not seen or experienced another school environment which was more beneficial to my learning. It is possible that I could have got better marks elsewhere (I doubt it) but the private school must have been doing something right as it was easily getting the best results in the area every year, and had done so for about 15 straight years.

It's common sense unless you get into a half decent school due to where you live. Whilst I said that I just realised, what is the difference between getting into a decent state school because of your proximity to that school and going to a private school due to the amount of money you have?

Again, you don't know me so you can't form a proper opinion based on an internet messageboard. I'm sure you would find me personable in real life. I suspect the feeling would not be mutual though.

Not you spotty.

Lets be honest, most people if they could would send their children to a school where people are relatively sensible and actually want to do work and learn compared to one where you get a bunch of mentalists running riot and disrupting it for everyone. Obviously this isn't the case for all schools but it was the case for me when I was growing up. It was basically get a private education and be educated properly or go to the school round the corner full of loons. There are many brilliant state schools but in my case private was by far the best option and many others face a similar situation. (I wouldn't send my child to Upper Shirley High or St Annes for example having had a lot of experience in those schools and seeing how St Annes especially puts a lot of children off learning.)

I did say most. I don't think you are jealous though, I just think you are the biggest leftie I have ever conversed with and a little mental.
-
I'm glad I never went to your school. You were probably bullied.

I love how saintscott constantly (and I mean constantly) slags posters off for having an opinion which differs from his own, yet he thinks nothing of posting sarcastic replies on this subject despite the fact I suspect his opinion is in the minority. Ho hum.

You know nothing about me, simply what I choose to show you through my writing on here.
-
Send them to private schools. Most people who moan about them are just jealous.
-
Something which is totally achievable with a private school education. I went there because they consistently achieved the best results and so it proved.
-
I went to private school because it was the best school in the area and gave me the best chance of doing well in my exams. If I hadn't gone to the school I went to then I wouldn't have got the results I got. Simple.
