Many Lib Dem policies from the election were unworkable and silly. They only came up with most of them because they knew they wouldn't win an election. The Lib Dems don't really stand for anything, and most who vote for them are young student types with little understanding of the way of the world. I imagine when they grow up these people vote for a proper party with proper policies as opposed to 'something different.'

Anyone who votes Lib Dem IMO doesn't really know a lot about politics. At least those who vote for Labour believe in something sensible.

In regards to that last sentence, dune has been saying that about the Tories for ages in fairness to him. Anyway it's excellent news, the sooner we have more distant ties with Europe the better. You only have to see how the French leader basically said that the voice of democracy gets in the way of the European project to see what it's all about. I'm close to voting UKIP at the next general election though I will see.

I disagree. In the position they are in where any alternative manager will just be surviving every year, it is a risk worth taking a potentially a great bit of business.

It was more to do with the fact that one of them has ms an so they were refused despite clearly demonstratin the ability to cope over a number of years and with that person having no relapses during that period. I do think it was a case of looking at the condition rather than the individual case. They got a young child and were obviously able to cope and gave them a much better childhood.

My parents adopted a child and found it very hard going. Almost not worth the effort though this was a good few years ago so things may have changed.

Based on 100 cases you have been involved with. Hardly definitive though I accept your right to an opposing opinion.

If someone I loved came to me and said something like 'the police are trying to make it looked like I killed someone. If you just say I was with you then they will go away'. If I had a low IQ and was blinded by my affection for that person then I can't say I wouldn't do something similar and display a lapse of judgement. There is no suggestion that she knew he was guilty and lied to cover it up.
