I'm sure Tony won't mind me posting this: Good morning I would love to have a crystal ball and answer your question, but as I hope has become clear, I am very straight with people, so I don't know the answer. The reality is, if everything is put in front of me and is actually right (legally and morally), I will sign the deal right away. I will not be bullied nor pursuaded into something which is anything less that perfect - and that should to you, and your fellow fans, show a statement of intent for the future. Under our ownership, the Club will come first - and so it should do. I agree. We really shouldn't be transfixed with who is in the boardroom. My hope for the season is that we forget that Leon and others are even there, except the occasional rallying call from that man MLT of course!

Bottom line- I trust that Matt believes he is doing the best for the club. If Matt believes this includes inviting Leon on the board because of his generous donation/loan then I back it. I don't love Crouch but I'm willing to forgive and forget. He is a successful businessman and I'm sure in some capacities he can be a valuable asset (just not in public ).

If we get Keegan in and start winning you watch us unite pretty damn quickly! Anyone who says they refuse to fully support the new regime if Leon or LM are involved are complete ****s in my book and would not be missed at SMS.

Crouch will be one voice on the board. He won't be in control, that will be the bloke with the money. I am struggling to see how he could mess things up for the new regime. He has paid his money to keep the club alive and I imagine he was offered this as some sort of reward. Whatever the reason, I'm really not going to worry because Leon has a place on the board. It's just not of particular importance to me. If he was chairman then that's a different story but he won't be because things will be led by MLT and TL (who I have been impressed with so far.)

Oh get over it. It's not exactly the worst thing in the world. The primary reason for Crouch's failure was our lack of money and I highly doubt that Leon will have a huge say in things. Lets not let something like this ruin the whole thing, it isn't worth it. (I'm sure 19C will be on later to act like the world is falling in.)

It's ridiculous that some people go totally overboard because someone has posted a jokey comment on an internet forum. I'm sure if we spoke about this in "real life" I would agree that it's horrible (though nowhere near as bad as killing a human being) but on here does it matter what people write? I've been told it's someone with about 700 million who has something to do with property and is a businessman in London. Will be interesting to see if that's true.
