We've done OK that half. Worth remembering this is a decent team we are playing. Lacking I bthe final third but at least we showed a bit of attacking intent. Excited to see Downs to see if he can offer us something different.
-
Apparently it's normal subs so not an entire 11 change at half time.
-
That hasn't translated to the games so far. He has been decent in the championship previously though. I'd really like him to start firing for his sake as well as for ours.
-
Good point I'd forgotten about him. I wonder if he's off? I'd much rather have him instead of BBD.
-
He's mentioned a few times about Fernandes playing deeper. If that's the case then we don't really have anyone else to play in the role Fraser is taking (probably the reason we've stayed we want an AM)
-
I would suggest given that this is a proper game and it's two weeks till the season starts that it is much more likely that this is the likely starting eleven against Wrexham.
-
What would you play? Given the injuries I'm not sure who else we would play.
-
I wonder if he can reinvent him as a rb. Interesting that Sugawara isn't getting I bthe team even in the league below.
-
Hmm. Quite like the defence. Not sure the Fraser thing is going to work he's just not at the quality of Stu Armstrong. BBD starting just shows how light we are in the wings. Maybe Still thinks Robinson is better off the bench. If Downes and Dibling return will they replace Fraser and BBD or Armstrong I wonder.
-
Will be very interesting lineup today. Should give an indication about what Still's starting eleven is.
-
It's not overly surprising given we haven't managed to shift anyone yet. I don't wish we were other clubs but there have been some moves that I would describe as ambitious and not yet from us. I was hoping for some ambitious strengthening alongside keeping a couple of our bigger names and not just lesser replacements for them when they depart.

From memory someone found some definition that it was potentially viewed as racist because some people in America in the early 1900s used it. As if that had any relevance whatsoever 100 years later in the UK! Absolutely absurd.

That link is over a year old and highlights a study in ten European countries and doesn't mention the UK.

My point was simply that the far left, the idealistic youngsters and the self described socialists (the people who love Novara Media and Owen Jones) are all going to be attracted to the idea of voting for Corbyn and many of these would have possibly voted Green in the past. Ex Tory voters certainly aren't the demographic that Corbyn would be targeting. That's what basically lost him the election against May.
-
TBF he could argue he's kept to that already with all the incomings off the pitch. Lallana's transition to coach is like a new signing!
-
I'm sure the last two weeks will be a hive of activity with loads out including many we would rather keep and a few in. Just worth pointing out how dull it's been so far. Just a fringe CB and striker in so far and nothing out after the excellent two early departures.
-
Maybe not there but lets be honest, no ex tory that lent Labour their vote are going to do that again.
-
Don't get me wrong I think he's a fruit loop at best and a deluded old fool. I'm just saying he clearly commands a reasonable amount of support still and will get more swing votes than some expect based purely on who he is.
-
What a dull summer transfer wise so far
-
Why? I could see a load of youngsters going for these guys over someone like the greens. Corbyn still has a bit of cult of personality and recognition to the average person on the street. No one has ever heard of any of the green party personalities beyond Caroline lucas who is long gone.
-
They wanted Trafford apparently. Is Ramsdale miles worse than him? Maybe he has greater potential.
-
Sounds like Newcastle are in the market for a keeper. Could Ramsdale go there?

Just for fun. At what Match day will we reach 12 points in 25/26?

I'll be optimistic and say 7 then. 3 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss. -

How long did it take last time? -
Still pretty impressive he got that when he only joined them in January no? I haven't seen enough of him yet to make a judgement but he's certainly highly rated by people who have seen more of him than me.
