I agree we should win but I'm almost certain there will still be some games this year that we will draw that we should really have won.
-
Agreed. He's the great unifier of the saints forum.
-
Also the club have earnt trust by their actions. That was much harder to give them in the summer when the only evidence we had was their prior performance of fucking up.
-
Teams are always more difficult if they're setup for a 0-0.

Safe to say my worry is not the same as yours. Rather, I feel he's quieting the radical hard left factions until he gets in power then will look to bring back some of the harder policies he's recently disowned.
-
I do find it a bit duplicitous that Starter really just wholesale changes what he stands for in order to get elected. I suppose that's not much different from any of them but it makes me doubt that he will actually do what he says when he's in power. I'm not sure anyone as hugely enthusiastic about starmer, it's more that he will win by default because no one wants more conservatives.

I don't think anyone really loves him but I would think it's absolutely undeniable that losing him at this stage of the window would weaken us significantly for the rest of the season. Personally I'd have got a decent replacement last summer but given that we didn't, we really need him to stay to continue our promotion charge.

Don't forget that it's fine for him to fire off a load of epithets at others but when someone gives it back it's an unacceptable attack and everyone needs to move on and focus on the issues that matter. Unless he wants to make another dig or insult of course and then it's perfectly acceptable. I ignored him and didn't reply to any of his posts for over a year and he mentioned me or threw insults my way on numerous occasions the entire time whilst telling anyone who would listen that he had me on ignore. In SOG land you either agree with him or you're a horrible racist and a thug. I can believe that there are some Jeremy Corbyn supporting, Guardian reading, James O'brien listening, Owen Jones following individuals who are fundamentally good people. I'm not a fan of these things and I disagree with almost all of their views but I accept that you can be a decent person who just happens to not align themselves with any of my views or opinions. Soggy is incapable of doing the same thing. In his mind, if you aren't a fan of these things then you're evil, or wrong, or a racist. He can't conceive of a world where you could for example align yourself with some of the views of the Conservative Party, want to reduce immigration or think that there is a problem with fundamentalist Islam in parts of the UK and also be a good and kind person that happens to disagree with him. It's unfortunate because closing yourself off in that manner robs you of the chance to learn, hear different perspectives and also to humanise the people you disagree with. Far easier to write everyone off who disagrees with you as akin to Hitler than have to engage with their arguments or maybe even accept that some of what they say has merit. I doubt that the Echo chambers he lives in on social media have helped much in that regard and given his age, it's unlikely that he will get much more open minded before he croaks it which is a shame.

He really was just taking the piss. I thought it was an alright video to be honest.

KWP and Adams?
-
No I didn't say foreigners only come here to put themselves in the shop window. It seems you've misread my post.
-
I certainly find it interesting to listen to well argued points of view that I disagree with. The alternative is taking the soggy approach and screaming that anyone who isn't a Corbyn supporter or who doesn't believe that Kemi Badenoch is the black Satan is a Christian nazi belt buckle wearing, Katie Hopkins supporting skinhead whose only interaction with other races is when they cut their hair or shine their shoes.
-
I think it's more that there's agreement about you being a figure of fun that's ripe for mockery. Regardless of any other disagreements that's something we can all find common cause in.
-
Exactly. He's a luxury player in this league to be honest and realistically he'd only be starting to a handful of games if he stayed.
-
That amount of money probably pays for most of the backroom staff or most of our other loanees. Bit of a no brainier really for a player who isn't first choice.
-
Why would you think that on the face of it?
-
Yeah that's him I wasn't paying attention ha. Wonder if we'd consider it when Alcaraz goes.
-
I'm pretty sure he genuinely believes what he says and isn't faking it for income. Anyone can disagree with him but let's not suggest he's lying.
-
Where does the O'Neil bloke from Coventry play? Any chance we coukd be in for him? Expect we are done but you never know.
-
Yes there are some foreign players but quite clearly the percentage of foreigners decreases for the exact reasons I mentioned. So it is true.
-
From memory he got slagged off a load for being rubbish.
-
Yes that and also some foreigners will only want to play in the prem. A small club like saints are going to attract some foreign talent that just want to use us as a shop window and that is going to be in the prem. Personally I prefer it this way with less mercenaries.
-
I expect they are just easier to recruit in general in the championship but I can't deny it makes some of the players easier to relate to.

Tiss was better because most of the time he had a load of tripe around him and still looked unreal.
