I'm not sure Woods- who has performed well in preseason- our captain or the QPR 2025 player of the season are going to be too thrilled if they are relegated to the bench for the majority of the season.

That's definitely the role I see for him, at least initially. With THB gone, we will probably have the four centre backs competing for the two places unless we play five at the back or play Edwards at RB.

There is plenty of time but not much time until the season starts. Someone made a good point the other day that Leicester stole a march on everyone last time because they were already miles clear after ten games. We should be aiming for similar even if it doesn't work out that way.

I know we have to be sensible with our funds but I'm amazed that creativity hasn't been our priority for signings this summer. I really thought we would have got in some for the wings or through the middle.

When/if Dibling leaves then maybe just play Stewart or downs alongside Archer instead.

I'll be honest though I'm starting to get a bit concerned about our attack. It looks very ineffective and we aren't controlling games. Still time but like other shave said we need to shift some players and get replacements. Probably too late for the start of the season now though sadly.

Well then the answer to your question is in all likelihood no.

I've seen plenty of players perform well in preseason and score goals and then be shite in the real games. The logic is the same here.

Not sure we can read much into half a preseason game against a second division Spanish side.

Strange thing to do though given we have two perfectly adequate right backs already.

For me it's more about what they represent. It will be a real hit to morale to lose Ramsdale and then not replace him because fans don't really want either of his replacements in goal given the choice.
