  1. I just think Corbyn doesn't really do anything. If you gave him £100 I doubt he'd have anything to spend it on.
  2. Although he was a clear disaster for the country, it does rather highlight how these donations are political choices when you see things like this:
  3. Sounds like it was guidance at the time so not technically rules.
  4. It does when you're typing on a phone. Thankfully I'm not foreign secretary.
  5. Paul embery posted this up on twitter earlier and I watched it again as I do every time it pops up on social media. Say what you like about him but he was a monumental politician. It makes you want to weep at the state of politics in this country now that we have no one even close to this nowadays. What a great man irrespective of the politics you follow. https://x.com/PaulEmbery/status/1839050541990637935?t=ziZ3OYCdqZgs6DAhWTDXLQ&s=19
  6. Great result that. Good chance to progress and nice to be at home. At least two of the bigger teams will be out and a few of the other prem sides too. Always good to get some more games to give our squad players a run out.
  7. I wasn't really commenting on the comment from the twitter poster but lammy has proven time and again that he's unintelligent and frankly nothing but a race grifter who sees the world through a racial lens which is the type of politics I loath. You're most likely right on Russia by the way and that outcome is probably the best we can hope for.

Good of them to leave a survivor to pass on a message to the others.
  9. Oh god. Lammy being the embarrassment he was always destined to be as foreign secretary. They just can't help themselves with the identity politics. https://x.com/MyLordBebo/status/1838826557135057044?t=E_se426dB5D3KjE4fK_9pw&s=19
  10. We don't have the luxury of giving someone like woods time to make mistakes and nervous errors this season if we want any chance of staying up. Bedding in nervous youngsters is for when you're comfortable and clear of the relegation zone. Personally I'd have preferred a more experienced option if one had been available as we already have Edwards to learn and develop as the young centre back and I'm not convinced that another one was required this year.
  11. I haven't written him off. I don't consider him acceptable as a premier league defender this season. I expect he will do an adequate job in the squad should we get relegated. I've seen nothing from him this year and from talking to Swansea fans they saw nothing from him last year to suggest he is remotely ready for the premier league. He was also never worth 10 million so that was a lucky escape.
  12. I don't personally care about things like that. Had he not done the clothes thing though then none of this would be being brought up.
  13. New rb Edwards bednarek Taylor Is a cracking championship defence tbf.
  14. My guess is maybe they think he needs more time before being exposed? Though you'd really think he would have had more of a run out during cup games. I thought he'd be challenging THB and Bednarek when we signed him.
  15. The only thing to be grateful about regarding Wood is that Swansea turned down our ten million pound bid the season before!
  16. I'm not panicking. Are we streets ahead of them? I'm not convinced we are in defence although obviously Ramsdale is a big upgrade. Midfield is arguable as Lavia and Armstrong would walk into this team and probably JWP as well. Remains to be seen if Fernandes and Archer are better than Alcaraz and Adams. I'd say they have the potential to be but not quite yet and Sulemana is a better option that BBD for me if we are basing it just on the games so far which admittedly is just a handful. We also had a lot of dross in backup positions last time we were up here which we no longer have so you could say our squad is stronger with more potential. There's certainly an argument to be made that we have a stronger team than the last time we got relegated but I would contest that its quality is much higher than what we had previously.
  17. I knew it would be difficult but I did think we would present slightly more of a threat and look a bit less pathetic against some of the lesser teams.
  18. I think that maybe the step up from championship to prem was bigger than many expected and I'd say that applies to both players and manager. Whether they can adapt remains to be seen.

I bet there's loads of potential recruits who will now think twice about associating with Hezbollah. You'll never know what piece of electronic equipment is liable to explode and destroy your bollocks.

Sure. Not sure why you expected a different outcome. Israel will get a temporary reprieve with their recent actions against Hezbollah which was probably the goal.

    Israel

Indeed. I expect they've hobbled serious Hezbollah offensive capabilities for a good while. Maybe they will think twice before continuing to bomb Israel.
  22. Labour stood on a platform of being better than what has gone before. In the eyes of the average member of the public, this sort of thing makes them look the same and encourages those who say that y are all the same. I don't think they are identical but I do think that when it comes down to it many politicians are self serving or at best try to help people but also want something to be in it for them in the process. Very rarely do you get truly selfless individuals who are in the game primarily to help others (in my experience selfless politicians are much more likely in local government which is why I'm much more likely to vote for individuals regardless of party affiliation on a local level.) The absolute worst thing about politics is having to play the game of politics with the rehearsed party lines that everyone trots out, the predictable opposition lines and the creation of narratives that are tested out in focus groups in advance. The older you get the more inauthentic it all becomes and the more weary you get of the same old tactics from all sides.

Why should Israel back down when they are getting bombed constantly?
  24. And thank fuck for that. If he does go soon then although it's shit news, it could all have been very different if he'd decided to stay at Chelsea and we've have essentially nothing to show for developing him. It's gutting to lose him so early but the piles of dough will soften the blow somewhat.
  25. I didn't say it was? Simply saying that although we are a small fish in the prem we are comparatively a rather large football league fish who is vastly bigger than the majority of the other teams In the pyramid.
