Sounds to me like he's "injured" in that he isn't getting enough chances so isn't really arsed about things.

This is the sort of reaction that makes me very happy. https://www.uptheclarets.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=73717&sid=76a9745ffd06d138987e8d30c6acbc3c

This particular bit of news isn't that concerning. I expect if he doesn't play that the thinking is they'd rather give him an extended break with the idea of solving it for good.
-
The the papers are just as guilty of the partisan idiocy. I couldn't give a shit about rishi Sunak. If he wants to watch the football as a fan then great for him. He won't be PM in a few months anyway and will be as forgettable as Gordon Brown's spell in charge.
-
It was bollocks but absolutely lapped up by some rabid people on twitter. Can we get back to the football on the main board now?
-
Assume your joking? You realise this was fake news?
-
This is what happens if you let politics into football, you get morons from the fan base turning threads on the main board into their own political whinge fest to push their agenda. Kick it out. Kick it right out.

Just leave politics out of football. Let Sunak attend a game and let's not start asking the manager about it. It's an irrelevance.

To be fair they have a big injury list apparently and made a load of changes so it was definitely not their first team last night. Still good though.

How do we compare to Burnley from last year?
-
And third have a game in hand.
-
Yep it was said many times when the season started that it would happen so not a surprise. If we do go up though I would really want us to get another keeper with Bazunu as backup. Expect we wouldn't though.
-
Judt watching the Ipswich game and they look shite. Not sure if it's just an off game for them but they've hardly done anything so far.
-
Agree with that. I was saying the other week I was surprised it hasn't happened more often this season. At least it ultimately doesn't matter.
-
Another day we would have scored 5 or 6. I think changing so much of the team disrupts us to some degree but the gamble has paid off and now we can have some fresher players for Monday.
-
We look great but the longer we go without scoring, the more I worry its going to be one of those games.
-
Any idea why Downes is out?
-
Yes and it's a bugger to lose him as we don't really have an adequate replacement unlike other positions.
-
Would any of their players get in our team?
-
Maybe he's had some underlying issues from the food poisoning. That shit can be bad and hang around for months.
-
Keeper injury normally means he stinks the place out or has a worldie. Let's hope for the former.
-
Not sure I rate Charles or smallbone that highly. Alcaraz is good but inconsistent. Certainly a risk.
-
A weaker starting 11 today I reckon. We may still win but I'm not sure it will be as convincing.
-
Fair enough. I expect it's all those tough away games then that swings it for them.
-
I think we have had some pretty easy fixtures though. The real test will come against some of these better teams away from home. Avoid defeat or even win in a couple of them and we will increase our chance massively.
