The sort of performance that's perfectly acceptable if you're mid table. For a team that needs to win, if/when we lose this game it's not good enough to have such little in attack.
-
Wrong thread!
-
I thought the purpose of playing it around at the back all the time was to draw players out of position so we had opportunities in attack. If we have no chances to speak of then what's the point?
-
Dibling has to come on for Armstrong at half time for me. Personally I'd like to see Amo Ameyew too.
-
Everton look a lot more nimble at escaping our tackles. I wish we posed more of a threat going forward.
-
It's quite sad to see someone who was such a hero last year be so out of his depth.
-
Our crosses from the right have been horrendous. To an Everton player every single time.
-
Downes proper crap so far.
-
I'd 100% have Sam A A in there. Sam lm, Dibling RM with Lallana and Fernandes in the middle is a potentially brilliant team.
-
Fraser isn't fit apparently which may be why. I wouldn't play Cornet after Tuesday.
-
Unless he's fit and he's dropped him for tactical reason?
-
Correct but like with Lallana, you'd expect him to be playing the important games rather than against man city.

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?

https://x.com/PolitlcsUK/status/1852464766226190756?t=Ar_AmmYUdwVumGFiru3IEw&s=19 I can't stand lammy but christ this tedious bunch of cunts make me want to support him. Wish he'd just tell them to fuck off. -
In what way has Armstrong done well?
-
Some randomer claiming Dibling not starting which would be a blow.
-
Absolutely pathetic from the tories calling Starmer pale male and stale. There's loads of legitimate criticisms of Starmer. Being male and white are not it.
-
No?

The Conservatives droning on about race is one reason why they haven't really learnt anything. Having a black leader in itself is not a good thing because she has a different shade of skin.

The argument I would make is that current battery technology makes second hand electric vehicles almost not worth owning. If you need to replace a battery every few years then I'd argue that will reduce its green credentials somewhat.
-
I don't think anyone was arguing that they weren't much better were they? Simply that the manner that electric cars are advertised is misleading.

I don't necessarily disagree but this was known prior to the start of this election campaign and is a charge you could level at a lot of voters in national elections. A big positive for Trump is that he is entertaining, can talk to a working class person and is seen as more 'authentic' than a proper politician despite some of the shocking things he says. I accept this is hard to counter but since Obama the Democrats have never been able to crack trying to talk without soundbites, without sounding robotic or scripted and in America presentation matters. Democrats could have forced Biden out a lot earlier. They will only have themselves to blame if they lose. The fact it's this close is already a shocking indictment of how they run their party to be honest even if they win.

Leading the way does nothing and has no significant impact other than to make us poorer and our lives more miserable and controlled. There's no evidence that leading the way as you put it has had any impact on India or China whatsoever to a degree where it would make a difference. Of course we should worry about being competitive, we are beyond foolish to destroy industries and then have to import everything whilst bigger countries with giant carbon footprints are doing relatively very little.

Looking at some Americans, it's a case that they felt the economy was better under trump and the immigration situation, they like some of the proposals and the team he is proposing for government and they aren't Kamala fans thinks she stands for nothing and object that she got the nomination without going through the proper process. Obviously doesn't help when some on the Democrat side denigrate people who have voted Trump in the past. It's not entirely about people not making their mind up about a candidate though, it's motivating people to actually vote. If voting were mandatory like Australia you'd imagine Harris would win handily. A unifying candidate is sorely needed in America if that is even possible. Obama was always embarrassingly superior to both of these candidates for example.

Being greener than a diesel car doesn't make it green.

Nope. Climate change is an inevitability unless we go back to the stone age. Currently we are set to massively hobble ourselves whilst other countries essentially do what they like with some small concessions. Billions and billions of pounds and restrictions on our lives for very little tangible benefit and all because it makes a few people feel good about themselves. Much better to face up to the reality which everyone will do in a few decades anyway that we have zero chance of restricting the likes of China and India to anywhere near the required amount. Accept that climate change will happen and plan accordingly looking to live alongside the newly changed climate.
