  1. I wasn't talking about their voting record. You've labelled people as far right on here which are incredibly serious accusations that aren't backed up with anything.
  2. No I don't recall attacking you when you spoke out against Robinson and Hopkins. I said I paid little to no attention to these people and at the time I had little idea who Tommy Robinson was. Unlike you I wasn't terminally online at the time. I'd say theres been an awful lot of terrible behaviour over the past decade in politics and I've seen some disgusting example on both sides of the political divide. I'm happy to criticise those of all political persuasions regardless of politics if I believe they've done something wrong because I'm not affiliated to a particular party or ideology. This is unlike some on here who simply respond with whataboutery from the tories. Not everyone and fair play to those who can call out bad behaviour from those they mostly align with politically.
  3. What does nearest political party to something like the bnp even mean? They aren't the bnp. The greens are mostly loons but if the communist party of Great Britain packed it in, I wouldn't be describing them as the nearest political party to something like the communist Party of Great Britain. I'd be a grown up and not try to throw around slurs in such a haphazard manner. You claim to have had some fairly responsible jobs in your life yet your attempts to associate parties you don't like with the actual hard right is laughable, demeans you and suggests you are lacking in nuance at best and thick as mince at worst.
  4. Agree with all of that.
  5. You describe a significant number of posters on here as far right. Now you're claiming that you have no idea what they are. Glad you're finally admitting that.
  6. Someone on twitter linking us with Jason steele in goal. I was just thinking we needed some steel at the back so looks like my wish is coming true.
  7. That's the point my mate made. Picking too many players who have performed well for mid table prem teams is in his view a recipe for disaster and someone like Grealish should be picked because his standards are higher even if he's found it more challenging in the best team in the country. Have to say it was difficult to disagree.
  8. Also you describe half the posters on here as far right. No one is going to take your definition of the term sensibly.
  9. Terrible actions from someone on the far right is not relevant when someone is discussing wrongful actions from a different extremist group. Doing whataboutery every time it's mentioned makes it look like you're just avoiding any significant condemnation of a group you have greater sympathy for.
  10. Why is it that so many posters on here when confronted with reprehensible behaviour from the extreme left, choose to talk about another group that have also done things wrong? It doesn't lessen the behaviour from an unrelated group.
  11. It might be a flop but Walcott not working out doesn't have any bearing on this at all. There's no correlation.

Yep. Amazing news that some of these hostages were freed. What a terrible shame that other people had to die due to the actions of Hamas. Let's hope they release the others in order to prevent more of this sort of thing.
  13. In actual fact, the idea that either himself or his mates are running cover for him - if true-and suggesting that he did us a favour by staying actually makes me dislike him more.
  14. It's not a rumour. I'm talking about the behaviour that everyone actually saw, even if you disregard the other stuff. The comments towards clyne, the signing of the Liverpool shirt, the full page in the Echo about himself. Like I said he came across as an arrogant prick which isn't unique amongst footballers but still is a reason why he isn't as well liked here as he could have been.
  15. I was commenting on your condescending attitude suggesting that I'm not already fully aware of what many footballers are like, not you pointing out something obvious. There's also quite a number that are nothing like that so simply shrugging shoulders and saying they're all like that doesn't make arrogant behaviour alright or make him more likable. Contrast that with exemplary behaviour and personality of the likes of Surman and you can see why some footballers are more fondly thought of than others. It's been pointed out a few times what the behaviour was from Lallana that people objected to. If you choose to disregard it because you're mates with someone he knows or something then fine but let's not pretend you're some neutral observer.
  16. Do you have to be so condescending? I'm aware of the general attitude of footballers mate, my brother in law was one so I know a fair number. You've obviously been fed one side of the story and chosen to believe it which is fine. My view is a bit more nuanced in that neither side covered themselves in glory and have to take a share of the blame for how things ended. Adam should hopefully realise that he could have acted differently and I hope he admits that when he is announced. Some contrition would do him good and means the vast majority will be able to wish him well.
  17. Absolutely agree.
  18. He said that Adam came to see him to ask his advice and he told him to leave in the right way. That's difficult to misremember.
  19. For me it was more the signing the Liverpool shirt before he'd signed for them and actions like that pissed me off at the time. I don't have a problem with it if he can contribute now but he still came across as an arrogant prick even if you disregard everything from the club. I think it would do him good to apologise.
  20. That has nothing to do with his chat with Adam Blackmore this week.
  21. Do you have any evidence it was BS? I don't think you can really say either way. I do know for a fact that Adam was being a dick behind the scenes though I have no evidence he refused to play. MLT basically confirmed this version of events this week.
  22. I'd be careful though. You're aligned with the far right.
  23. Ever seen school of rock or sister act 2: back in the habit?
  24. I know it's a completely different level but watching England play like this, I genuinely think saints last year had better ball control.
  25. Surprisingly I agree with that.
