I'm not the one comparing Suella Flippin Braverman with Enoch Powell! People use the anonymity that social media provides to say horrible things on all sides of the political spectrum. What it doesn't mean is that we have a reds under the beds scenario of loads of secret "fascists" around every corner. The very fact you are bandying around these sorts of terms and pointing to social media as a reference (which was the very thing I pointed out initially) proves that you are being unduly influenced by the cess pit of social media. Are you old enough to remember a time before social media? I'm genuinely interested.

I know what you mean but I can't help but think if we get him to leave without having to pay someone to have him, that's got to be the deal of the window surely?
-
You couldn't make it up! OK mate have a good day. I really think you should log off to protect your mental health. Social media really isn't a reflection of real life. Are you old enough to remember what life was like prior to twitter? It really was much better because people like yourself were not presented with a distorted version of reality on a daily or even hourly basis.
-
What percentage of the British public do you believe are "fascist?"
-
You can vehemently disagree with everything Suella Braverman ever says or think she's a total idiot but when people start describing a modern day British politician (a minority no less) as a "fascist mouthpiece", it just makes them look completely unhinged and totally captured by the frenzy of social media. I think it's fair to say that the likes of twitter have had an overall negative impact on society and things like this are the proof. Also hilarious that you'd highlight policing language as a sign of fascism. If that's the case then every political party would be guilty although the ones on the left to a much greater degree on average (see the opprobrium dished out to the likes of JK Rowling as an example.)

I'm not the one using words like fascist. FFS get a grip.
-
"fascists" spend a little less time on social media and go for a walk.
-
Genuinely if I were a player I'd be considering saints over some of the lower prem teams and certainly over the likes of Luton and Sheffield United. Big chance they will at least be in the same league as us next year and possibly we coukd swap places
-
When you say asked about Edwards, did we ask and then consider it too much or are we actively interested?
-
That may be true. Doesn't really change anything I said though.
-
Even then, Stephens and Bazunu would not get in anyone's best championship team. KWP likely to go IMO so definite defensive reinforcements required.
-
Yep. Downes, a top lower league cb, someone like Grimes and a striker and maybe a winger is not going to break the bank and will cost at most 50 million. Hopefully we can keep the rest in reserve for future seasons or recoup some of the losses from relegation.
-
It's a big if, but if we can lineup after September with a mixture of Charles, Tella, Downes, Smallbone, Armstrong that's got to be a contender for the strongest midfield in the division. Shame you can't say the same for the defence.
-
Worth having a read about Downes here. I've had a quick scan and they were raving about him at the start of last season but the consensus was that Moyes didn't like him and was playing out of position when he did get a chance. Sounds very encouraging https://www.kumb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=183613&start=560

I don't see the problem of a loan with an option to buy. He clearly wants to play in the prem and could probably get a club there at the moment.
-
The link above says that this paintsil is good at passing and working in tight spaces so that bodes well.
-
Didn't someone say that players under Martin don't do a lot of dribbling? Tbf I haven't seen an awful lot apart from Ameyew and Edozie which hasn't led to much.
-
Djenepo needs to leave. Expect we will end up paying to get him off on loan. AA maybe but he's not really a winger.
-
Losing Tella would be gutting, particularly because we wouldn't get much for him. If we keep him then Sulemana can leave it's no big deal and we will have potentially this guy involved in the Onuachu deal, Edozie, Ameyew, Stuart Armstrong and Tella (actually thinking about it we probably need to get rid of one still.)
-
If Liverpool is the only choice then of course flog him to them. If Chelsea are also involved then it's great if he chooses them over the victims.
-
What a dumbass coming here in the first place if that's the case. It was plainly obvious we were very likely to be going down by January.
-
Sounds like an excuse to me. How many players do we send off somewhere else if they have a muscle injury? Combine that with the loan comments and the comment from Martin about coming back with a "renewed energy." I reckon he's said he doesn't want it.
-
Presumably we would loan him out and hope we win promotion and he has a great season so we can flog him for loads more next year. I would guess that would have been the plan had we stayed up so we can still do that but use an existing premier league club to showcase him for us.
-
I don't care about any of that. My point was that Tanswell clearly had some contacts within the club and made a point of talking about Sulemana going on loan to the Premier league which was a really odd thing to say at the beginning of the summer. Since then Sulemana hasn't been seen since and has been linked with a loan move to Everton so it's clearly not just guesswork and a load of bollocks, there's some truth to it even if it doesn't pan out that way eventually. Entirely possible that he's told the club he doesn't want to play in a lower league.
-
Yes most likely. The Athletic wrote an article at the beginning of the summer talking baiut him possibly going on loan and then returning if we got promoted. I'm assuming he said something about not playing in a lower league.
