I'm in the same position mate. I can book tomorrow morning but two mates can't get anything till 11. I'm weighing up what to do! -
Good post. I wish people would take the correct lessons from Trump getting elected. If the Democrats did that they'd absolutely walk the next election but they don't due to a combination of ideology and a general dislike of the sort of voters that they need to ensure a decisive win.
-
That's very true I agree. There was a time though where there was more cooperation between Democrats and republicans about bipartisan issues. Now you have both sides voting down things for no other reason than it's the other side proposing it. It's a crap way to run a country.

What a nice bloke.

Bunch of wankers on the pitch when we haven't won anything.

Good for him. If it makes him happy to get laughed at and mocked on here then he must feel happy most of the time.
-
"I would like three Kingfisher lagers please. I won't pay a penny less than £6 per pint and they best come from dirty pipes and be room temperature." Sounds perfect.

To be fair I don't think the likes of Hilary Clinton ever made any attempt to unite anyone when she was running. The problem is two increasingly polarised sides who disagree with each other often just because they are the other side.
-
If that's the criteria then I'd say he's one of the biggest winners I've ever interacted with.
-
If someone writes a post specifically mentioning me then I'm obviously going to respond. It takes literal seconds to fire something off mocking, laughing at or highlighting his hypocrisy. If he gets some sort of special thrill from responses like that then he's a proper weirdo which isn't a complete surprise but I'm not sure why you think getting some written responses on a messageboard is some sort of win for soggy. I can tell you now if he keeps making the same posts he has done for years insulting others and then playing the victim then he's going to attract plenty of responses laughing at him and calling him out. If that's winning then congratulations soggy has won and will continue to win. What a guy.

Yes but I consider that to be the lesser of two evils. I'd rather have a handful of legit goals ruled out than some autistic system that deems someone off side because a pubic hair is the wrong side of some imaginary line. I know some people love that sort of thing but it ruins it for me and I suspect many others. Removing the human element from officiating entirely just makes the game less interesting. It turns football into a series of MLG posts.

If he refuses to play then that's a different matter. I would be surprised if he wasn't desperate to play and potentially get us to the Premier league, if only because it enhances his own reputation.

You can imagine the smile as he Googles "latest Jew genocide atrocity" and rushes to post it up on here. The level of smug must be off the charts as he delights and single handedly ending the racists on the Saintsweb forum.

As is calling some racist, homophobic or a rape apologist. They are about the most serious charges you can level at someone.

What's the thought process? That the IDF are cartoon villains just gunning down everyone including Israelis because they take pleasure in it? How is that a more likely scenario than mistakes during war? Like you say mentally unwell.
-
Exactly. Unless he can't run or something he should play. We shouldn't really give a shit about his future as he isn't going to be here.
-
I'd say given the shit he continually fires at so many others, lobbing a few jibes back is more than fair.
-
"the IDF don't care about killing Israelis" heard it all now.

Personally getting the VAR involved to tell the ref to go and have another look doesn't solve anything. A big part of the problem is waiting around whilst the ref is sent to go and look at replays on a monitor. For me everything is the referees decision unless offsides can be automated so it gives an instant answer and unless there's a real howler that needs to be overturned for some reason in which case the VAR can just say into an earpiece what should happen. We should definitely go back to linesman flagging for infringements rather than doing nothing and then making everyone look at the ref before celebrating. For me that's the absolute killer and why this year has been miles better.
-
Indeed. What this underlines is that tragedies occur in the fog of war and where people always shout that there's intent behind a death or a tragic occurrence, often it's simply a horrible accident.

It's one of the things that made Poch such a notable coach. His willingness to be brave and give our youngsters a chance. Some of them must think if they aren't getting a look in at this level then is it really worth being in an academy at a relatively small club. One of the few things we can give young players that bigger clubs can't is the ability to be involved in games. You would hope that changes next year, particularly if we are in this division again.

Good post. The way you describe it, you wouldn't need any particular skill to operate VAR as anything subjective is referees decision so they would simply be dealing with obvious rickets. Automate offside as much as possible and make the decision immediately and it cuts out any delays and you can mostly celebrate goals again. I'd be in favour of it in those circumstances.
