I tend to give people a chance but then if the people in charge do what they have done this summer, then I tend to lose all Trust in them and question their motives. I really really hope that we get some quality signings in by September but I think the new board have gone about this terribly. I feel they have been creative with the truth this summer. What I hoped these guys would do is combine the ruthless side of cortese with a bit more common sense and a fan friendly side. They have let fans down IMO. You would think by now they would have realised the importance of getting some top signings in to reassure fans and counter the media reports so they have yet to do so. I don't think they know a lot about pr and have brought a lot of this on themselves. hopefully I'm allowed to say this without being accused of repeating myself!

Yeah Guan any idea how much we are looking to spend? Also do we view these two from inter as backups for the squad? Were they our first choice?

Think that most can agree that no matter how irritating or offensive we find someone else's opinion about the football club we support, we don't really have to start making unpleasant noises about physical violence. I understand many people including me get tetchy during the summer when there is less to get interested in, but at the end of the day it's a message board to talk about saints not life or death. Generally when I log off from here I tend to forget about football and the few people I have met from here have been friendly people. Would hope that's the case for everyone.

Probably. You get a lot of that on here. I suppose the forum deals with a cross section of society though and there are people like that in wider life.

Because we have reportedly made a lot of bids which have failed to come off. If you believe the media, seems we have a lower conversion rate than many others.

It was the most telling part for me. Any successful business can quickly and easily articulate their plans. Ralph was unable to do that.

Indeed and the reason that Ralph struggled to articulate any new five year plan the other week was because he knew they weren't going to be there then.

That meltdown article from the Mirror in January was widely derided on here and Alex Crook was called all sorts, yet he was entirely accurate over this.

Bit of an odd thing to say. What do you mean by believing Talksport? There are a number of people on that station including idiots, journalists, pundits etc. Would be a bit odd to dismiss everything on Talksport simply because they happen to be on that station just as it would be the wrong thing to believe everything on there.

Hmm not sure that is true. I would argue that the fan and media reaction after the chambers sale meant that Ralph came out, did a u turn on the Morgan and Jay rod sale and gave us some reassurances. Whilst I agree that fans have much less power than they use to, the board have to keep the fans onside to an extent so we clearly do have some power to affect change.

Would happily take 17th! I think so far the words of the board have not tallied with their actions and the longer we go on without making significant signings of quality players, the more likely it is that the board is taking us for mugs.

Hmm. Again I would say that on paper that could be another downgrade. As you say clasie looks promising, but Morgan is one of the best in his position in Europe.

Think that's a good signing that's worth making TBH. I doubt anyone will be underwhelmed by that signing. See little point though if Boruc goes as we will be in the same position as last year should Forster get injured.
