Laughably undervaluing who was probably our most important outfield player last season. Lovren is worth every single penny of that 20 million to us. We are going to have a hell of a time replacing him this season.

I don't think that's entirely true. Most saints fans I meet are realistic folks who understand where they are in the football hierarchy. That's why I honestly feel most would have been content to lose Adam Luke and Rickie after the initial disappointment. It was the subsequent dismantling and the failure to adequately strengthen that has meant that so many are so annoyed.

I don't think we are good enough to be competitive in every fixture (as we were in almost every game last season.) I don't think we are good enough to banish any threat of relegation this season and actually I can see us struggling near the bottom as things stand. I don't think we are good enough to justify the hike in season ticket prices and the inevitable price rise in match day tickets. I don't think we are good enough for our chairman to be talking of Europe.

Why would anyone hope we were in a bad way? I don't think we are anywhere near the top 8 and some posters on here are seriously overestimating our remaining team. They will be in for a bit of a rude awakening.

Tbf Chelsea get linked with all sorts of players including dross so I don't think that's necessarily an indicator of quality. Still this signing is clearly a step up from some of our other signings this summer if it happens. He will have big shoes to fill in the form of lovren, I hope he is up for the challenge.

I think the point being made is that a player should not be solely judged on their performance over a few games in a tournament. Many clubs have been burnt with that sort of thing. Hopefully Rojo has been scouted before the cup and so we know his quality.

I don't think so. Most have consistently said until there is evidence to the contrary. Big money buys would be that evidence. I think most would just be pleased that they have taken steps to repair some of the damage.

Boris isn't dangerous, he's just a politician like everyone else. The big difference is that he is more interesting and can make people listen to him more than any other politician. I don't feel that who is in power makes a massive difference to things that actually matter so why not give him a go. If he fails then he would be out fairly quickly anyway. If he was a success it would really wind up the liberals too so I'm all for it.

Probably because he wasn't offered a new contract for months so was looking elsewhere.

They need to keep their promises, secure decent signings now and then ensure that the mistakes if this season do not happen again.
