I don't see how you can come to the conclusion that we are one or two signings away from being better than last season based on that game. Where is the evidence? I think if we recruit well over the next couple of weeks that we have a shot of mid table.

See I just think that's rubbish. We didn't look anywhere near as good as last season. Saying we are one or two away from being better than last season is unrealistic and raises people's hopes. It simply isn't the case.

Can't say I noticed him much to be honest. Had one chance first half I think. I was pretty unimpressed by our attacking play on the whole. We have lost that understanding we had which was fostered in league one onwards.

Bertrand looked pretty good IMO. Hopefully he will continue that form and nice to have someone with a bit of pace. Defensively we looked mostly solid. Up front sorry to say we were very poor. Didn't test their keeper much and our finishing and build up play didn't really trouble leverkuson. Pellè didn't get involved enough for me and on this game (and it is just one game) doesn't look anything like an upgrade on Lambert. If we can't score then we are going down. A new striker and some wingers are required. Isgrove looked lovely but a bit naive at times. Not sure he is good enough for the prem yet.
