sorry don't mean to pick on your posts but this is wrong. Echo circulation is worryingly down - particularly effected by saints - a saints or exclusive is the biggest normal boost to their sales. The echo very much need saints and I was told that the direct impact of the recent dispute was talk of redundancies - very worrying. Meanwhile saints sales are up. The could totally do without echo -

whilst I have some concerns, you point is somewhat undermined, since you first made it, by the fact that season tickets have risen -
agree, for years they were at best a joke, but mostly irrelevant. Can't say I enjoy a poorly supported club with a few years above us lording it so do look forward to their return to obscurity.

this board used to at least wait until a player signed before moaning about him!
-
as you post your personal life on here I can safely say I am happy with any comparison! Don't get personal.
-
would that £2.50 be payable upfront or instalments?
-
you only have to look on here to learn two things: there is no single fans view fans have not got a clue about running a football club. People getting carried away with the importance of fans view imho
-
4-1 is pretty painless really, in the context of all but 7 years of my life you being totally in our shadow.

"Mellor being a favourite amongst sections of the deepdale crowd indifferent form led to him losing his place to new signing Jon Parkin"??!! I wouldn't be posting that squad on a rivals fans site if I knew they had Lambert, Lallana, Connolly and Barbard! Sure they will be strong competition but think this season is about whether we perform - if we do we should walk promotion and Sheff W will be far behind, unfortunately being football (and saints!) that's a big if!
-
infact first time I have looked at that squad - thought it would be a lot stronger
-
think you look weak upfront - miles behind us in scoring ability
-
aside from cup games, or form - most outsiders would say the higher league placed side is the better, so was talking about league finishes.
-
... and how long will it last? For all the bitter rivalry the best, and only real comparison of who is the best side is the league position. The first season I was alive for was 1966/67. Saints finished above skates. They did so for the next 38 years - usually by a huge margin -several leagues etc. In 2004/05 season, for the first time in my lifetime they snuck ahead finishing 4 places above us. They have been ahead since, so for just 6 seasons in my lifetime. They will clearly finish above us this year - maybe by only one place! I think it will be the last time, in my lifetime. 7 short years. Soon to be forgotten period. How long do you think it will take for us to finish above them and do you think they will ever rival us again?
-
I agree. Think we will continue last season's form and gradually get a gap at top. Be good to start with a good win for a change.
-
not at all worried about this one, still would be nice to have a good result but its widely acknowledged that pre-season results have little bearing on the season. pre-season is important, for manager to judge players and work on any aspect needed, identify new signing needs, - this was what was the problem last year, not the results
-
did you answer it? you first post didn't just sent straight to personal insults. me, and many others, have given you opportunity to discuss issues/opinions on this thread and you ignore them.
-
it was indeed, my opinion - which is what the OP asked for!
