well, if BBC are right, we may hear Pardew's plans for him when he signs tomorrow - snow permitting!

he has a week left on his contract. Assume he has said he wants to come he and we want him. They can either say no, he has to wait a week unless you pay a fee, or they let him go. Sure they would let him leave.

he's had a career playing first team football a higher levels. he is 27. not sure whether that is just mediocrity for a league 1 sub forward! Not saying he would have been my first choice tho!

Lambert is our first choice target man /CF. People were moaning that we don't have back up if he gets injured. At the moment that is probably Lambert. It would be great to follow your logic and get a 50 goal a season forward to better Lambert - but think that's unlikely. The next best way to improve that position is to better the 2nd choice - i.e. Patterson? So why not improve the squad?
