they dropped 8 and played youth team.
-
sorry, totally disagree. Think Lallana is likely to be first choice but think those two performances will make him hard to drop at the moment - but that how it should be, players fighting to keep their place.
-
thought he was excellent tonight and no way deserves to be dropped on that performance.

If we can improve on any position significantly then we should but I think there are now only two positions we need to strengthen - CB and CM. GK - we all know RB - Murty, James LB - Harding, Mills, Molyneux CB - Thomas, Perry, Lancashire - at least on more but the real leader type CM - Schneiderlin, Gillet, James, Lallana CM - central experienced focal point LM - Mills, Holmes, Thomson, Gobbern RM - James, Lallana, Thomson, Gobbern CF - Lambert, Rasiak, Paterson, White, Saga

Saints vs No'ton - FULL TIME (2-0, Lambert '29, Lallana '68)

maybe but harsh on Thomas. -
never mind - we won.
-
Markus buying saints and people saying he needs a return on it, is like us buying a plasma and needing a return on it - you don't, you watch it!
-
they made 8 changes and played young players, Racon was on bench - wouldn't read too much into tonights selection
-
thought he played well when he came on against Hearts as well
-
definately sounded that he is trying to convince him to stay and not given up.
-
Looked well up for it when came on, positive play and chasing back. Smilimg and mucking around with Bart at half time. Pardew saying on radio that hopefully he will realise the grass isn't always greener and will want to partner Lambert. Those two would score some goals.

Player rating (easy version) OK Kelvin - didn't really have much to do Lancashire - some good stuff but not strong enough Thomas -didn't seem totally controlling their forwards Wooton - again good effort but first touch and passing not quite up to it Murty - good steady influence Good Harding - lots of positive running, good passing and defending - v good signing Schneiderlin - not as involved as Saturday but his passing is class above, has time on the ball Lallana - seemed to get better as game went on, stayed wider, some good touches, crosses and scored. Paterson - good touch and high energy Rasiak - seemed up for it again. Good header back for second goal and their defence looked worried when he was on the ball V Good Lambert - looks what we were told, strong, always looking to shoot, won everything in air in first half, good passing and holding play and scored. James- MOM, excellent energy, running, crossing - made the goal. -

he was limping and holding his knee for a few mins before he came off. Pardew didn't mention it after game so hopefully nothing major. -
Radio solent after the game - he said "maybe one more before Saturday." Wasn't partcularly positive but if I had to over analyse and read too much into his tone of voice would say he sounded that little bit more likely than not!
-
He has said he would like a "good" club in CCC or higher. But if good opportunity does not come in he loves it here - didn't want to go on loan last year. Pretty much sitting on fence and keeping options open. I wouldn't be surprised if he stays, and if he plays like he did against Hearts will be happy for him to do so.
-
you are confused - we don't think we are the best supported club in world - just county! -I don't think you should be banned from here - if you are willing to take the stick good on you.
-
pfc123 - have you seen the "did we sign the right one?" thread? watch both videos and let us know.

don't worry about it yet, it another two years before you have to play them, but you are right - it will be tough for you.
