Not going to give you the childish argument you are seeking but hope this covers it; For some reason you seem to be getting petty and trying to start fall outs over this comment. You have made comment on another thread. Which I ignored. Sent me a PM which didn't make much sense and so ignored again. But clearly you want to feel better about yourself over this so go ahead. My friendly comment - which I stand by - was that fitness wasn't our biggest problem by far last year. It was things such as players available, tactics, motivation, character. My post, which you really need to get over if you disagree with, was after I heard the lengthy interview with Pardew on the radio - when he also said the same things. He also said he was impressed with the general fitness levels. I do think there is room to improve - definately. Particularly if we are going to play high tempo game which Pardew wants. Fitness was a factor for some players yesterday. Off the top of my head - Scheiderlin (how hasn't played that much preseason with us) and Patterson who ran himself into the ground. The other player who I thought lacked fitness was Saga - which is nothing to do with any fitness regime now or last season I suspect.

74 points with good goal difference would have reached play offs last season. Remember if we get 74 points - we actually would have won 84 points so are likely to have decent goal difference. Leeds, Leicester, MK Dons and Peterborough all got that amount last year. Infact Millwall, who we matched yesterday, got 82 - and we haven't had a real preseason or built our side. If we get decent side play offs is very achievable.

we would probably have to be somewhere near Leicester's performance last year to get 2nd, maybe less this year as have feeling few teams will take points off of each other

touble for skates is, if they do go into administration, they won't be selling them as premiership side but CCC with small fan base. Once in admin, with points deduction, no investor will be thinking they can keep them up

we cannot argue that they are leagues above us in football world at the moment. they cannot argue that the blue few are miles behind us in support. No real arguments can be made on either.

people didn't know about it until few weeks before - when some would have other plans, many more probably felt one preseason friendly enough for a week - not a good crowd tho however you look at it. Yours?

Hearts was a late arranged, 2nd preseason friendly against team who didn't bring corwd of note with them. So for second game in 7 days just arranged against worse opposition -probably comparable home fans. Please give up on defending blue few

Football league show 11.45 pm tonight. Each week; Football League show after MOTD on BBC1 Sat night. Will repeat on loop all Sunday morning on red button. Will have a two min highlights available for week after each game on Saints page on BBC website.

Cortesse said that hopes to complete signings this week that will excite fans - and will be spending money. Not getting hopes up but sounds promising.
