you realise the reality is that we got went up automatically - three points plus better goal diff behind Brighton? I know you are not the sharpest tool but that is in reality!

REally? Amazing from another thread CMS, 27 years, 106 conference appearances, 51 league 2 appearances, 91 league 1 appearances, 43 championship appearances, 0 premiership appearances, 3 mins for scots in friendly Cork, 22 years, 0 conference appearances, 0 league 2 appearances, 7 league 1 appearances, 137 championship appearances, 11 premiership appearances, 14 Eng U19 - Capt, 13 Eng U21 can't say Barny is even close for me
-
just looked up - his was only 19 then - plus played in various positions
-
so you are saying most exciting since Keegan?!
-
lets concentrate on play offs type common sense yep
-
I don't think he will be as good as many who have played for us over last few years - you are missing my point if you think I am saying he is new Shearer, MLT, Keegan etc

One Burnley fan in particular is upset, infact you could say he is "disgusting".... "minibeast says July 7, 2011 8:31pm I am a burnley fan and i am disgusting. Burnley are a massivley bigger club than southampton and burnley offer him everything he needs. some good players guaranteed footy. everything. and anyway, southampton were in league1 about 2 months ago and i hope some time he'll come to his senses and change his mind. He only got where he i by playing for Burnley. he played in the premier league and had an amazing season last year but hopefully we can get another good midfielder. he fitted into the squad pefectly and all i can say is hes wrong. come back jack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! " Taken from SSN website seems others would appreciate the premiership quality more

remember KK signing, that was miles more exciting. the thread says (think you and hypo missed the point of it) 'since....' I don't think this is on the same spectrum as the Keegan or Shilton etc etc However, and I appreciate others views about Fonte and Lambert, personally think you have to back a while for a signing that shows intent like this. He is not a world famous name, but he is a top CCC player, England U21 and going up. Shows the sort of long term aim of the club and that we can attract players not just with our money (as suspect others with money were in for him) but with our future and team spirit. I know it does not fit in with the gloomy five's (you, hypo, Fitz, alpine, Lard) agenda
-
exactly. This clearly not Keegan like, nor is it an easy CMS type name - but think it shows the way we are building an exciting future
-
last season 35 starts 8 sub 9 goals 1 assist 55 shots on target 58 off target 5 woodwork 22 years old 6'1 no idea if he is any good!
-
so harder to buy a league 1 player passing his peak than a current England U21 player very well thought of in CCC. Sure if we went for CMS we would have had a very good chance of getting him
-
Fonte was very good signing, but Palace were desperate for money and he went from struggling championship side to top league 1 side - don't remember anyone else in for him??
-
there is no logic to that! Its harder to get a player who has seem ability but has already peaked and therefore not in as much demand??
-
That is a very good shout. (think Fitz puts it on a level with N'Guessan as just another Leicester reject! lol)
-
and you are a miserable ****er! you can't enjoy a winning streak as it will end soon etc. He isn't a world beater - but we are not Arsenal. I hear what others say about Fonte and Lambert but feel they were players that we got for the level we were with a bit of money. This, I presonally feel, says more for our future and anbition and how we are seen. What other decent signings have we had in last 20 odd years, who teams above us would want and was still on the up? - not many why are you so in awe of Leicester? There annual squad change fantasy football doesn't always work
-
he's only here for the money, no other reason why he wouldn't stay at Burnley! http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=104&fid=297&sty=2&act=1&mid=2117002979&page=1

Mr Crump's not going to see Cork
-
good on you. (won't get into your bit in brackets )
-
bet you though that in January.
-
that difference to me, totally agree. Lambert so good player at level we were to sign, Cork is a step above where we are.
-
not bad shout
-
good signings, but not as big step as this imho
-
overseas player?
