Totally agree. He seems to get a lot of stick but he's a decent defender who is improving all the time and is still very young for a centre back at 26.

So how did Fraser get on in his first game? Only seen the highlights and he didn't seem to have much to do. Couldn't do anything about either goal I would say. Boruc possibly would have closed Stirling and spread his body quicker for their first goal, this being one of his key strengths as a goalkeeper What are other people's thoughts? This is in no way a negative thread about Forster who I am keen to see do well, however I am a huge Boruc fan who I think will leave to get first team football.

Definitely not all down to Boruc. The back four and Wanyama in particular and tightened us up a lot. The Lovren/Fonte partnership is solid too.

I rate Ashley Cole highly but if he isn't playing, surely it isn't fair to take him? That's the team I would pick anyway.

Mine would be Goalkeepers - Hart, Foster, Forster Defenders - Cahill, Baines, Jagielka, Walker, Clyne, Shaw, Dawson Midfielders - Gerrard, Lampard, Lallana, A.Johnson, Chamberlain, Carrick, Sterling, Henderson Strikers - Rooney, Sturridge, Rodriguez, Lambert, Welbeck Found it really hard to pick a squad, think we are lacking in quality in a lot of areas.

I may have imagined this but I am sure I sure big Artur do a cartwheel after a missed Arsenal shot in the second half. Did anyone else see this or am I going mad?

As a goalkeeper myself and coach, in my opinion we have one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League and feel it is no coincidence we have kept 4 clean sheets in 6 games. After a shaky start, he looks solid, commands his area and has a calming presence on the defence. I'd put him right up there with Niemi!

Fantastic to see him beginning to show his true class. Superb performance last night and the Villa game. Anyone think he's still not up to it? I hope we stick with him for the foreseeable future.
