Wanyama seems intent on being our most advanced midfielder which I'm not too keen on.

Don't think he's done much wrong so far tbh. Nearly caught out early on but even the best keeps make mistakes with the curl and swerve these modern balls have.

Personally I think if you're stupid enough to make a mug of yourself in public you should expect a bit of leg pulling. He'll get over it or he's as much a knob as people on here make out.

Personally if we're going to play Wanyama and Clasie in a three with another DM I'd like to see Reed get more game time. with both Wanyama and Clasie you could use someone in there like JWP who's not so physical.

I'm not so sure. Can't imagine we'll want to block Reed's path to the first team.

I live in a rather expensive bit of London (although not as bad as the really plush areas), but if I was rich I'd still rather live in rural Hampshire or Dorset, but then that's just me. Each to his own. Of course if I was super rich I'd just have a house in each place!

To be honest I don't think he's too far from the truth. OK so these clubs aren't buying our players because they see us as a threat, but by challenging them they have seen that what we are doing seems to be working. Rather than take the time to get their own houses in order they go for the short term solution in buying those of our staff that they see as being responsible for our relative success. By all means though feel free to keep strutting around like a character from that she-ite Lock Stock TV series.

Given that Poch seemed to like playing Vertonghen at left back last season there's a chance it won't be their CB pairing at all. IN fact I wouldn't be surprised if they both end up playing full back!

Not sure why so many people want to slate the club over this. We obviously wanted the player. Looks like we were willing to match Spurs' bid. If that's the case you'd have to say it looks like Toby has mugged off Koeman and Reed. This is only given even more credence by his father (and agent) claiming yesterday nothing had been agreed with anyone. Looks to me like Toby played us for fools but at the end of the day you surely have to trust what the player tells you. Having said that I believe we won't have put all our eggs in one basket and I bet we have other irons in the fire now this has fallen through. Save your histrionics for the end of the window if we haven't strengthened sufficiently.
