I am one of those who feel that the owners who have mismanaged for years deserve to lose their money, for that vindictive reason I would not worry about Administration. As a club we are ****ed. Let the phoenix rise from the ashes without Wilde ,Lowe et al.

I just wonder how much patience the average non season ticket holder will have if we carry on with results that are happening at the moment? I am sure that a massive reduction in fans through the turnstiles will happen and our finances will be in an even bigger mess. How long will people turn up to watch their team getting beaten each week? Will the stay aways be blamed for not forking out to watch inferior results. There is a hardcore of supporters who would turn up each game to watch a couple of dogs on the pitch provided they were in Saints colours. After 55 years supporting Saints I now question both my sanity and commitment to the cause. I cannot justify paying good money out from limited resources to help the club survive after 3 failed boards of directors. At 70 + my financial resources are limited, how can I justify a trip down to SMS each month with the costs that have to be born. This is the reason why it would be far easier to support a local team here like Crewe Alex Stoke or even Man City. Once a Saint always a Saint, however I do feel personally let down by very bad decision making of past and present directors who got us into this mess and expect us to turn up each game and hand over our money...its a bit like **** Turpin...stand and deliver, your money or your life

If things are sooo bad let Lowe ,Cowen and Wilde work for nothing and put the money they get currently into the coffers to stave off administration !

The truth is that we have played two and lost two...put whatever spin you want to on the results todate and it does not change this. I went to Cardiff last week, I saw a team that was too young and inexperienced at this level. We do not have the luxury of being able to tread water and wait until they are more able. Send out on loan some of the youngsters with their salary paid by the club borrowing them, get in a couple of loanees in defensive positions or we are doomed. It is admirable that many on here have a rose coloured view of our team, but, sooner or later they will wake up to reality.

As Nickh will tell you we could not pay for a decent defender on loan in brass washers.

And if it does not ? What then ?

I am glad that you realise that this board is for Opinions, Alpine expressed his. Since when has it been a crime to state the obvious, we will do well to escape relegation this season. You must also realise that things will get worse financially after 3 groups of failed directors. That you cannot expect a half decent season with the team we are putting out. You may not like to hear the truth..but..people will not continue to pay good money to see results like we have had so far.

If we go into administration we get points and certain relegation, if you sell the players that can keep us up you get relegation. With administration you get rid of the deadwood directors.

We are all entitled to our opinions, our club has been mismanaged for about 5 years...and..we are expected to pay up and keep quiet. Enough is enough. Sucssesive groups of people are to blame, the spectators are not, we have no divine responsibility to turn up and watch a sub standard team.

And we have to pay top dollar to watch an inferior team ? The fact that Lowe et al expect people to do this is amazing

I have had the missfortune to meet Lowe a number of times and yes I still hate the guy.

Optimism breeds disappointment and extreme negativety ultimately and while I readily admit that I fall into the catagory of half empty glasses and I have never been a great believer that any person is silly enough to speculate large sums of money on a scheme that at best is a massive financial gamble. Since relegation, and the Lowe **** up of not investing after the cup final nothing good has happened to our club.

I really cannot believe that after so many false dawns , many on here are still hoping to see a white knight ride in and rescue Saints. I would have thought that by now the penny would have dropped, who in their right mind would invest in football in England outside the Premiership ? I see that there is speculation regarding potential development, for a plan to work, total cooperation from the City council and government planning agreement would be required. With the applications, there is no way that anyone could forecast agreement from both parties. Individual councillors could stop applications, years of costly planning applications would be needed, I just cannot see any possibility of there being a financial return, and, we could see this affect the Saints in that developers of ambitious schemes have been known to go bust because of applications being turned down and long term financial constraints.

Don't kid yourself it would be cheaper for Portsmouth to buy a ready made stadium at a knock down price than to build one...stranger things have happened

As Wimbledon moved their franchise to Milton Keynes...is it beyond the realms of possibility that Norwich Union could sell our stadium to ...Portsmouth. ?

I fear that you will come down to earth with an almighty bump before long. Why is it that anyone posting has to be super positive, even when realistically we and the team are in the mire. Try a dose of realism take off those rose coloured glasses and wake up ,we will be fortunate to avoid relegation, and, when reality finally strikes home, people like you will be to blame for giving people false hope and expectation. You have a responsibility to be totally honest

If we are still paying them , and, I expect we are, then they should have a boot up their collective backsides and be in the squad playing for a move onwards

I wonder if Scooby knows we did not win 3--0 yet. I hope he returns to his Portsmouth forum and leaves this site for good
