  1. As Saints supporters there is only one club in the world for us...It is hard to watch other clubs more successful than us attracting buyers. There are 3 things that are needed for this to EVER happen 1) Directors willing to sell at a current sensible price (whatever that may be) 2) The acceptance by ourselves that we are NOT a very attractive proposition 3) A wealthy fan or developer ...because no other person or group will be remotely interested in buying us in our current mess. When we accept this its easier to understand why other clubs are more attractive to a buyer than us. That is why I am not holding my breath with the Fulthorpe consortium...they are just not wealthy enough to make a difference
  2. Nah now she is divorced she is footloose and fancy free as they say
  3. But they had decent squads
  4. I still believe that one of our basic problems is that the head coach has no experience of the English leagues, and, therefore does not have the tactical knowledge to counter changes by the opposition, its the same with substitutions
  5. Not at all why should I be its as true as your Lord Lowe being the spirit that saves Saints. Get back to Fratton Park
  6. Nah it will be Wilde / Lowe combo..
  7. I am sure that there are many more than 6 or 7
  8. I would remind you that the average age is 22 not 19...you can do a lot of growing up in 3 years !
  9. Frankly I doubt if many of the contributors on here would face the Taliban while booing our soldiers...they don't have the balls to get into danger
  10. Err why ?
  11. The "Kids" (average age 22...Kids ?) need to learn to grow up fast and become more responsible. Imagine our real kids who have been fighting in the middle east, my god they have had to grow up fast. The money that these 20 somethings get paid in comparison with our forces for doing something that we would all love to do for free , says it all
  12. Come on Wes just about every man and his dog are looking for an easy excuse for what was a poor performance. Lets just hold our hands up and say...must do better than this if we are to survive.
  13. Hand in your season ticket on a principle...when you and others have been critical in the past of people who stay away because of Lowe ???
  14. If this type of performance continues then, we will see a drip, drip drop off in attendances followed next season with a further reduction in season ticket sales. Its not the supporters fault that we are in a financial mess , its down to bad management and people not being prepared to pay to watch poor quality football. What is going to happen with this young team on heavier pitches as autumn and winter approach? They were well lightweight today, I can't see an improvement once the weather gets worse along with the pitches. We would have been better to keep the young midfield and some of the younger front players but get in a loan defence with older heads
  15. Are you a politician ? you have not answered the question...how do you let the manager and team know that the performance was totally unacceptable if you are not vocal ? Or are we expected to pay up and shut up ?
  16. Ok Nick ...how do you express dissatisfaction with the performance, so, the team know that we expect a better performance next time. Our defence was totally dreadfull and devoid of ideas today, that performance was NOT ACCEPTABLE, kids or no kids.
  17. Err... so how then do you let the manager and players know that you were less than impressed with their efforts and performance today? They take the plaudits if they do well...they must therefore take the "other" when they do not !
  18. After today ...I have a horrible feeling that not many are going to enjoy the ride this season.
  19. I think we got a pretty good indication after todays purile performance.
  20. Perhaps it was Lowe taking his seat Scooby !!!
  21. Its going to be a battle, the youngsters are naive and it showed today. All the pretty patterns that they made are totally useless unless you can learn that getting the ball in the net is the main objective. Our defence was poor, time and again we were saved by our keeper, the crossbar and the referee. To all those over eager optimists I say to you ...we are going to struggle to stay in this league this season.
  22. As a 70 year old would YOU drive from Cheshire and back to watch THIS game ? Or would you save the money and go to a game where your support would be used to greater affect.? These generalised statements NEVER take into consideration Distance to travel...cost of getting there etc etc. Generalisations are not either helpfull nor sensible since you have no idea of each individuals circumstances, they also breed discord between supporters i.e. I am a better fan than...
  23. What a load of TOSH...its every persons right to decide how and where they spend their money. Comments like this are just stupidly over the top
  24. Amen to your total posting. Why do people have to nit pick over grammer, spelling etc I have no idea, this is NOT a national newspaper, its an internet forum to be used by all of us who support Saints. As long as you can understand the thoughts of the contributor who gives a toss if its good grammer and spelling
  25. Because of the huge sums of money involved nowadays, players are not prepared to risk injury, they only give 100% at club level rather than risk an injury which would mean playing and win bonuses would be missing from their paycheck. Too much money and a soft life Prem Club football is the problem
