  1. You can remove avatars (and images that are displayed within posts) in your user settings: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/profile.php?do=editoptions As I said earlier, we might tweak the colours a little bit.
  2. They'll only be given an absolute maximum 4700 tickets, although would expect that to be reduced to allow for bigger segregation.
  3. I'd expect the Skates' game at Stevenage to be on TV.
  4. Appears on mine (version 5.0.375.70, on XP):
  5. Well I knew that the old style wouldn't be compatible with the new version of the software right from the off so a change in the look and feel was inevitable. The layout is pretty much as per the default style that the software comes with, which I have customised in terms of the colour scheme. I am genuinely baffled by the suggestion that it's less "work-safe" than the previous design - generally the more white/light colours, the better, in that sense, and the old layout didn't have many of those at all! Ultimately, experience has told me that people will always resist change when it first happens but will gradually come around to appreciate the reasons for the change over time. There might be some subtle changes just to tweak things (I can see the potential benefit of moving all of the user information to the left rather than above each post, for example), but I did ask at least 15 people to have a look at the site over the last couple of weeks when it was in a test environment and the overriding feeling was that the look and feel was an improvement and made it look more modern.
  6. While I'm happy that Korea got a deserved goal at the end, it's cost me 8 FF points
  7. It's been 32 teams since France '98, and both that tournament and Germany 2006 were excellent competitions full of great games. Japorea 2002 wasn't quite so good in terms of overall quality, but there were a lot of shocks there which made it interesting.
  8. I reckon the opposite, actually... Ivory Coast have the get-out of being able to lump it up to Drogba and see if he can bulldoze his way through - the Koreans aren't particularly big or strong. Portugal's sole tactic seems to be "give it to Ronaldo", but he preferred to spend his time falling over like a **** today.
  9. Finally, a game that was entertaining from start to finish.
  10. :vuvu:
  11. Comeback's on!
  12. Look what I've found :vuvu:
  13. Do you tick the "remember me" option when you log in? If not, try that. Someone else has had a similar problem which has been solved by doing that...
  14. The difference being that nobody expected New Zealand v Slovakia to be any good. Portugal and Ivory Coast have teams packed with very good players. New Zealand would struggle in League Two.
  15. Korea seem neat and tidy in possession, with plenty of enthusiasm, but you would expect Brazil to eventually tire them out and exploit the spaces that'll create.
  16. That should be fixed tomorrow, the database search index needs to be rebuilt but it'll take all night to do.
  17. Works fine on the 9700, I've got one.
  18. Because if there are issues, I'd rather they each had their individual thread so it's easier to keep track of them. Oh, and have an infraction. Believe it or not, I'm not in the mood for your "humour".
  19. Do you seriously not think that it was tested before being put live? None of the issues that have been raised (and, to be honest, there's only been a handful - ignoring the "wah, I don't like white" complaints) were found by any of the 15 people I asked to test a development implementation of the new software.
  20. 20 goals in 13 games so far.
  21. Rather than just saying things like "FAIL", it would help us if you could provide a detailed description of any technical problems you're having on the forum. In particular, obviously what the fault is, but also which page you're on, what browser and operating system you're using and if possible provide a screenshot.
  22. Second placed team in this group will probably play Spain. Runner-up in England's group will play Germany in the last 16.
  23. Expect Portugal will scrape it, although would love it (hello, Keegan) if they went out in the group stage.
