I find it amazing there is no speedway team in London, Lakeside being the nearest. Then of course Southampton used to have a very good team, loved going with my Dad in the 60's when we had Barry Briggs and Co. Those were the days!

Don't mind, wherever it is most likely to be viewed. I think we have had speedway threads in both sections in the past so although I thank my friend Deppo for his support I'm happy for it to be moved.

Agreed, I think Wigan have underachieved in the regular season the last few years and though they have played well in the play offs I'd be really surprised if any team could win the Grand Final without at least being in the top 3. Wigan really do seem to have a lot of strength in deep, even being able to allow Sean Ainscough and Chris Tuson to go out on loan. Can't feel sorry for Leeds, I really don't like them !

New season is just about to start. Unfortunately I don't have Sky Sports so am not going to be able to watch as much as I'd like. After their dismal showing last year Poole actually start this season as strong favourites to regain the Elite League title. The signing of Darcy Ward looks a superb one and with Chris Holder, Bjarne Pedersen, Davey Watt and Jason Doyle the top 5 looks to be the strongest of all the teams. I do like the look of Belle Vue Aces with their signings of Hans Andersson and Peter Karlsson. Peterborough and Lakeside along with Swindon look the best of the rest to me, no doubt for me Eastbourne will struggle in spite of signing Matej Zagar.

Well these are the current Grand Final winner odds : Leeds 2/1 St Helens 4/1 Wigan 4/1 Warrington 5/1 Huddersfield 8/1 Hull FC are 16's generally and Bradford as big as 50/1 at WH, would not have predicted that pre-season. Think Leeds are unbackable at 2/1, far too short. I'm already on Wigan at 10's, looks good value now!
