Considering the (apparent) current lack of transfer activity on our behalf (other than Gardos) I can see us having a couple of Spurs players as part of the inevitable Schneiderlin move on deadline day.

So it seems a little quiet on the rumour front other than the Gardos situation. Anyone of the view we may have done all we are going to in this transfer window (excluding what may or may not happen with MS) or do we think there may be one or two more to come?

And therein lies one of the problems we've experienced this summer. It's a little too convenient to suddenly decide Morgan is invaluable to the Club and can't leave any more than Lovren or Lallana was. Unfortunately for Morgan it was his finger Ralph grabbed hold of to stick in the dyke.

I thought one of his reasons for leaving was that he was on less than £15k as I read on here. I can't see him going to Spurs. Our players only want to go to a CL team or at least 'one of the biggest clubs in the world'.

He needs to maintain his fitness whatever his future is.

I hope you're wrong although the Morgan situation is likely to rumble on to the 11th hour I imagine.

And the clock is really ticking now. Not just to meet the Liverpool and window deadlines but to make sure they have some semblance of integration in to the team so that we're not playing catch up even before the season has got underway.

According to (the ever reliable!) wiki, Ripley's last England game was 1997 and he joined us in 1998 so not exactly 'long gone' but he should never have got there in the first place!

So just a matter if time until the inevitable happens. I agree. In the meantime Artur will know one mistake and he's gone. That should help him relax and play to his potential or alternatively be up for it and focused but we know the life of a 'keeper - mistakes are part and parcel of the position.

There won't be much competition for places. We haven't paid £10m for a No.2. If it turns out we have then someone will be for the high jump!

As a 'Canadian-born German' it's been anglicized. It would be KRÜGER, not that it really matters.

We should replace a 'keeper to the tune of £10m for one mistake with a player who could quite easily do the same? Ok.
