If that's the same interview with Solent I just listened to he started by saying he hopes to have a signing by the weekend then went on to say one or two albeit he didn't put a timescale on that but it could be by close on Monday rather than by Saturday.

I really hope he stays. He's a different type of player to Wanyama yet he's forever getting compared to him. As for being Cup (league) tied I really can't see that as being a show stopper to a move either way.

Yes there could be a number of reasons why he would chose to turn down Arsenal (assuming they do want him). But we've been reading on here for months that players never turn down 'top four' / 'CL' / 'huge wage' / 'biggest clubs in the world' teams

It's all propaganda and we can really only surmise based on the circumstantial 'evidence' that is gleaned from various sources and the actions of folks involved. Everything points to a once-imminent deal for MS to go to Spurs. Whether he still will we'll find out within the next few days. And yes, I agree, transfers aren't done until signed and sealed.
