  1. I wonder if Ronald knows of any Dutch boys with a spare finger?
  2. The tweet is still there on her SSN account @SkySportsAmy: Sources: Southampton hoping to bring in a keeper, defender and a forward by the end of this week with a focus on young English talent Yes thorpie I forgot about the 'keeper' comment so Forster it could be.
  3. So SSN (Amy Lewis?) were reporting Tuesday that we would make 3 signings before the end of the week 'with a focus / emphasis on young English talent" or words to that effect. So Bertrand is one of them and you would think at least one of the other two would fit the above criteria. So who's our money on? Ings? Redmond?
  4. Why bring Cortese into everything, it's irrelevant. Spoke with a Villa season-ticket friend last night who said he's a good signing. Quick but does day dream and switch off occasionally.
  5. You said he is not getting a great reception because he was the first player in. He isn't so what is the reason? You don't have to use expletives to explain I'm sure. If you look after my post several other posters made exactly the same comment. I think most of the underwhelming comments are partly due to him being a loan and maybe reflective of the clubs way forwards as opposed to being directed at the new player himself. I for one wish him the best and hope we have a few more to follow. Ralph said three by the end of the week so we should know shortly.
  6. Tadic, Pelle.
  7. I'm not sure why Rogers is referencing 'exciting English talent' to a loan signing. Hardly seems relevant. He's here for a season, a stop-gap, not part of the building program for the future. If he is to be here for longer then why not a permanent signing?
  8. SSN reporting he's expressed a desire to speak to Liverpool tomorrow morning.
  9. Lovren wasn't part of that core then?
  10. Let's hope that's not his career highlights
  11. At what time yesterday do you think Ralph decided they were part of the core?
  12. Because they belatedly realised their 'sell-all' policy was p1ssing off the fan base and jeopardising the future of the club. Unfortunately the wheels were well and truly in motion regarding Morgan and Jrod's imminent departures despite Ralph definitely not talking to Spurs representatives in Toronto last week.
  13. It can't possibly be Spurs. Our players are only leaving for CL teams or Man Utd.
  14. SSN were reporting £35m combined for Morgan and JRod.
  15. I think after the Chambers sale they finally got a reality check that their customers were getting mightily peeved. It was not the Chambers sale in isolation that made them sit up and pay attention to their customers. Quite clearly they were ploughing on with making further player sales with Morgan and JRod the next to go. It was more than clear from Ralph's Solent interview that the two players were not happy with the situation. And we're to believe Ralph didn't discuss it when spending a whole evening being entertained by Spurs officials in Toronto last week . Sorry. The same way that Chambers was ill last week when he didn't play against Bournemouth. The club that tells the truth Ralph said.
  16. What is a 'CL-quality price'? SSN were reporting a combined fee of £35m for Morgan and JRod. Considering that includes the unknown performance that JRod will return to I would say that is a fair price. Toni Kroos, arguably one of the best midfielders around, and a World Cup winner, has just moved to Real for c£20m.
  17. Destroyed.
  18. His missus has kicked him out? He told her she could have a new kitchen when the move to Spurs was finalised.
  19. All of that is pretty clear from today's events.
  20. You don't think Morgan is a tad unhappy then Whitey? Maybe it's a phony account, is that what you're saying?
  21. It's quite clear that negotiations were at an advanced stage with Spurs. The Club eventually realised how p1ssed off the supporters were becoming over the exodus so pulled the plug on the deal to appease them / us. Add to that today's PR charm offensive and that's where we are tonight. A state of continuing disarray.
  22. It is unprofessional but I would think it is very likely he was told he could go at the right price and that would be to Spurs with negotiations clearly at an advanced stage then at the 11th hour to have the rug pulled. I guess he's a little peeved.
  23. I posted earlier tonight that I felt the club had finally got wind of the discontent of the fan base at the exodus and that Morgan and JRod were lined up to go but they pulled the plug and launched today's PR offensive. Seems to have back-fired spectacularly.
  24. After Morgans tweet maybe Berkshire might want to start another thread?
  25. If you listen to Ralph's Solent interview at 12 or so minutes Blackmore asks what JRod and Morgan thought of being told they weren't going anywhere. It wasn't difficult to read between the lines that they were royally p1ssed off.
