  1. You don't think Morgan is a tad unhappy then Whitey? Maybe it's a phony account, is that what you're saying?
  2. It's quite clear that negotiations were at an advanced stage with Spurs. The Club eventually realised how p1ssed off the supporters were becoming over the exodus so pulled the plug on the deal to appease them / us. Add to that today's PR charm offensive and that's where we are tonight. A state of continuing disarray.
  3. It is unprofessional but I would think it is very likely he was told he could go at the right price and that would be to Spurs with negotiations clearly at an advanced stage then at the 11th hour to have the rug pulled. I guess he's a little peeved.
  4. I posted earlier tonight that I felt the club had finally got wind of the discontent of the fan base at the exodus and that Morgan and JRod were lined up to go but they pulled the plug and launched today's PR offensive. Seems to have back-fired spectacularly.
  5. After Morgans tweet maybe Berkshire might want to start another thread?
  6. If you listen to Ralph's Solent interview at 12 or so minutes Blackmore asks what JRod and Morgan thought of being told they weren't going anywhere. It wasn't difficult to read between the lines that they were royally p1ssed off.
  7. When Blackmore asked Ralph what the reaction of JRod and Morgan was to being told they weren't leaving it was pretty clear they weren't happy 'I won't discuss their emotions' or words to that effect.
  8. The most interesting of all of today's interviews. My take on the Morgan and JRod situation is that they were going to be sold but the fans backlash has prompted them to pull the plug on these deals. When Adam asked if they had been told they weren't going and what was their reaction Ralph said he didn't want to discuss their emotions. Of course I could be wide of the mark but I believe they are not happy chappies right now.
  9. That he is being 100% truthful. How very dare you insinuate otherwise!
  10. Based on some PR words. Surely you're not that naive. Let's hope there's a good chunk of truth in what he says. Only time will tell. COYR.
  11. Nice sentiment. Good luck with your season.
  12. That's plagiarism...
  13. No just loaded the page. Anyway, let me know what pearls of wisdom our Ralph has to give.
  14. My maleware and anti-virus went into meltdown with that link!
  15. Little and Large
  16. Looks like he's had a night on the lash
  17. Yes I would tend to agree. I don't think she meant exclusively. Mind you judging by the premium that English players are transferring for today then maybe this is our strategy going forwards. Buy young and (relatively) inexpensive English players and sell them after a couple of good seasons. An Academy+
  18. Why do you think I would know? I was quoting a tweet from SSN. You could ask Amy?
  19. That flies a little in the face of this...
  20. Skybet reduced odds from 28/1 to 22/1 today for SFC to finish bottom
  21. SSN saying £35M

Those two? Probably not who knows but it's not beyond the realms of possibility we approached LFC. It would be quite likely with Rickie as we seemingly had already agreed for him to leave in January. It's just a view. It might be totally wrong. You don't have to agree, it's not a problem.

I have no idea on specifics and am certainly not ITK. It's just my perception of what has happened over a very short period of time. I might be wide of the mark but I don't believe so. I've just mentioned it on the Guided Missile thread but there's a good chance that Reed is doing a fantastic job of achieving top-end (and beyond) transfer fees on behalf of KL. The JRod situation is particularly bizarre and maybe that is one of the examples as apparently Ralph met with Spurs representatives in Canada last week. To sell a player not yet in full training after an ACL operation has got to be a first.
  24. Yes that doesn't stack-up. It can't be wages alone. We've still got Gaston, was he not believed to be our highest earner? There's more to it but cost-cutting is clearly a strategic decision and despite the stick that Reed is given maybe he's actually doing a very good job (for his employers) in maximising the transfer fees. If it was just wages alone we got have managed the departure of a few of the highest earners over a period of transfer windows and not stripped the team bare in one swipe.

I would beg to differ. I believe we've been very proactive in many of the departures.
