I have no idea on specifics and am certainly not ITK. It's just my perception of what has happened over a very short period of time. I might be wide of the mark but I don't believe so. I've just mentioned it on the Guided Missile thread but there's a good chance that Reed is doing a fantastic job of achieving top-end (and beyond) transfer fees on behalf of KL. The JRod situation is particularly bizarre and maybe that is one of the examples as apparently Ralph met with Spurs representatives in Canada last week. To sell a player not yet in full training after an ACL operation has got to be a first.

Yes that doesn't stack-up. It can't be wages alone. We've still got Gaston, was he not believed to be our highest earner? There's more to it but cost-cutting is clearly a strategic decision and despite the stick that Reed is given maybe he's actually doing a very good job (for his employers) in maximising the transfer fees. If it was just wages alone we got have managed the departure of a few of the highest earners over a period of transfer windows and not stripped the team bare in one swipe.
-
I would beg to differ. I believe we've been very proactive in many of the departures.

To get him off the wage bill. They're clearly not interested in building a team just reducing costs and maximising transfer revenue.
-
Reed has clearly been given a remit by KL to get the best deals for the squad. Wouldn't surprise me if he's made the scapegoat when the board meet this week though.

Seems and Jenkinson is destined for West Ham anyway.

Two question that those crucifying the board need to answer

As we stand this morning and with further departures seemingly imminent I would be amazed if we don't finish rock bottom this season. Incredibly you can still get 28/1 on that happening. -
French jornalist Romain Molina says Liebherr wants to sell

Interesting. Reflects my earlier thoughts this evening. Didn't realise Purslow was involved. -
I don't see anything new there.

Well he's got a ready made excuse if it goes wrong. That's the only part I can't see fitting is why he took the role knowing (we have to assume this but it might not be the case) what was planned. Maybe he feels like he's in a no-lose position. If he pulls this one out of the fire his stock goes through the roof. If it fails then there was a myriad of reasons why. Of course if he's been brought in under false pretences the he'll be off before the season starts.

Owned by Dalian Wanda yes?

My guess is that KL has been unsuccessful in selling the club at whatever price so now she is generating as much cash as she can and will then market it again at a vastly reduced price.
-
Some totting up of salaries there when, other than Reed, NC was covering all those positions.

Always read your posts with interest. Regarding your first point I'm increasingly of the opinion someone is actually pushing the dominoes. I'd be interested to know why.

Our saviours? Markus and Nicola. They're gone I'm afraid. -

Due to the risk involved (although recovery from ACL surgery is a long way forward from where it was 15 years ago) I'm guessing a reduced fee with significant add ons. I think it's becoming increasingly clear we are actively seeking sales of players as opposed to fending off. Quite what the end goal can be I have no idea. -

28/1 to finish bottom with Skybet. Probably not been updated recently. -
Has it dawned on them that we haven't got a paddle

I mentioned elsewhere, a little tongue in cheek, that it's a possibility that we are actually touting our players to other clubs. Incredible as it seems, when you look at what's happening it's not beyond the realms of possibility. -

I know we've been setting all sorts of precedents this close season but selling a player who's not even returned to full training from an ACL has got to be a first. -

Yes that's true. MLG has told me several times so this can't be true about Spurs. -
There's always the possibility our players are being touted about. Unlikely, but nothing would come as a surprise in the current climate.

Will this be the best transfer window for Saints ever?
Greenridge replied to Mallagroth's topic in The Saints
BBC Sport app says (referring to Chambers sale) we are 'poised to lose our 10th player of the window'. Now I know it's been hard to keep up with the outgoings but 10?
