Morgan and Jay to Follow According to Simon Peach
Greenridge replied to brett24's topic in The Saints
I mentioned elsewhere, a little tongue in cheek, that it's a possibility that we are actually touting our players to other clubs. Incredible as it seems, when you look at what's happening it's not beyond the realms of possibility. -

I know we've been setting all sorts of precedents this close season but selling a player who's not even returned to full training from an ACL has got to be a first. -

Yes that's true. MLG has told me several times so this can't be true about Spurs. -
There's always the possibility our players are being touted about. Unlikely, but nothing would come as a surprise in the current climate.

Will this be the best transfer window for Saints ever?
Greenridge replied to Mallagroth's topic in The Saints
BBC Sport app says (referring to Chambers sale) we are 'poised to lose our 10th player of the window'. Now I know it's been hard to keep up with the outgoings but 10? -
Any of them got boots?

Bearsy could you have a stab at writing the Club's statement?
-
Looks like they're leaving poor old Koeman to face the music alone. I'm guessing he might be asking himself what the hell he's let himself in for.....unless, of course he's comfortable with plans afoot.
-
Do you think that's how Les / Katharina sold it to Koeman."it's been a (cough) successful strategy used by the club in the past. In fact we had your countrymen Jan and Mark use it once before with Academy players and, erm,"

Is she in an open relationship?

Don't think we need to worry about a name for the 7th shirt just yet.
-
This. You can wrapped up in the definitive terminology being used but the club is losing it's assets, albeit for premium prices. At this point they are not being replaced on a 1:1 basis so yes we are losing our net assets whichever way you want to dress it up. Maybe we'll see replacements come in. Maybe.

Rumours seem to be his stock response to most questions about players - either incoming or outgoing.
-
If he's p1ssed off with what's happening then he'd make a pretty good poker player. Very upbeat and calm about the comings and goings. Sounded quietly confident and comfortable with the situation........
-
He won't be making these decisions in isolation. He will be under instruction from above. That's how organisations work.
-
You're still sticking with this one? How do you think the board sold (no pun intended) the role to Koeman? What incentive could he have been offered to take over a club in such a position. Just interested.
-
A ground share agreement with Eastleigh would be more appropriate than an expansion of SMS if this selling trend continues.
-
I know it's on the 'rumours' thread but as it's Chambers http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/11368125.Arsenal_and_Saints_discuss___16m_Chambers_deal/?ref=twt Seems talks have been ongoing between the two clubs so a bid should be no surprise. Seems we are quite willing to open dialogue with anyone interested in our players......

I'm not sure I believe this 'hitting all the targets at once'. I can't see how that can happen in practical terms. Maybe it was just an expression used by Guan. Other than that I agree with you. What the club say and do might not always be the same thing!

Unfortunately it doesn't appear we are going to move for Vlaar (or A.N.Other CB) until Lovren is sold so that stance wouldn't entirely play out in our favour.
-
Thanks, but too late. I've received an infraction.
-
Sorry to take this thread off-topic (Mods please move my post as appropriate) but SSN suggesting Pochettino is after Vlaar with cash plus Lewis Holtby (The Mirror).

As in Rojo?
