    Knees

I too had a dislocation in my youth. Now I'm a heartless, power-hungry City trader with a £2k/week coke habit and a breast fixation. Get it checked out early is my advice.
  2. Just downloaded the Bibio album. Digging.
  3. Bongo.
  4. I've got a well established div V team in the cup, so my only tactic is all out shouting badger, slashing and biting like a confused and drug-weary Keegan. I'm even going to enable the secret rush-goalie-with-knives option. My nippers didn't start their campaign too well, mainly because I forgot to pick a team and ended up running out with only 9 players. So fair play to them for keeping it to 5-1. I'm in the process of promoting 3 of my best prospects, so can't expect too many good results for a while.
  5. Back on thread... Bach's Goldberg Variations Zombie - Fela Kuti (something else a man could never get bored of)
  6. I haven't started Soulseeking yet. People tell me I should. I'll try to make it work. Technology holds many confusing terrors for me. *naps tide of hose*
  7. How right you are.
  8. Hmm, so an opening day loss may already have cost me a shot at promotion. But I am in the third round of the cup. Bingo bango.
  9. n.b. just tried logging myself in with the user name of 'Joy!'
  10. Joy!
  11. I have now taken precisely this precaution. We've made it past drinks.
  12. Low vs Spring Heel Jack - Bombscare EP
  13. Anyone know what's going on? I'm stuck at work and the Guardian OBO seems to have gone tits up.
  14. ?? Where can an interested punter get hold of this broadcast?
  15. Tideland is his best one. After that, The Holy Grail. Twelve Monkeys is good though. But Tideland. Tideland.
  16. Ruddy nora! Strauss looks like he's actually trying to chase this!
  17. Currently working through Doris Lessing's sci-fi series, Canopus in Argos. She got a critical mauling in the late 70s when she suddenly switched to sci-fi, but I can't quite see why outside of plain snobbery. The first one, Shikasta is wonderfully humane history of our planet from the point of view of the alien race who selectively bred and nourished us through our evolution from monkeys and then watched us decline. Its only fault, if it can be called that, is a pre-occupation with nuclear armageddon which dates it a little. The second, The Marriages Between Zones Three, Four & Five is a gentle trip through the qualities of masculinity and femininity told in the style of an ancient arabian romance. In another physical realm, obviously. Three more to go, hopefully they'll be just as good.
  18. This morning, since no other bugger came to work, I've been listening to: Sunn O))) - Monoliths & Dimension Kraftwerk - Radioactivity Oneohtrix Point Never - Rifts 13 & God - 13 & God Ben Frost - By The Throat
  19. 145 overs from the start of the innings, I think... Now's the time for Cook to play another 4-session 80.
  20. And sure enough he seems to be playing for 'security' again. How much of a lead does he need? Declare and have a go, England are knackered and reeling! Very curious policy IMO when you're a game down in the series, he's very much toying with handing us a draw and wasting the advantage he bought so hard with that brilliant innings. Ah, there it is. Declaration at last as I type...
  21. Actually, after yesterday's play, I wouldn't be at all surprised if Smith conjures a draw out of an unassailable position. He seems to have a knack for that.
  22. +1 -1 We're almost through two innings in two fore-shortened days. Unless one of the SA batsmen really settles in tomorrow afternoon this is going to be a bowling contest. There'll be a result one way or the other IMO.
  23. I don't care if he scores at 0.1 per over, as long as he stays in for a bit.
  24. Do we get to call that a 'giant-killing'?
