Surely they must know that Tony Adams would cause problems because 1. he is a ****e manager (proven) and 2. he has massive pompey links. I'd like to think that the new guy's advisors would warn him. Or does Adams have mates in the new background team?
If the sky sports article is true then he's an idiot for refusing the play. We should be looking for at least a million for him and he probably hasn't done enough in his 'illustrious career' so far to warrant that price-tag.
He'd be good for a year or two but at 34 (35 in Nov) I can't imagine he'll be that pacy at right-back. Seems a top bloke of course. Does he play centre-back too?
500k would be a joke price. I'd expect at least £1m !
I doubt we'll ever get £5m though. And anyway, has Lallana said he wants to leave now then? wasn't he mates with Surman?
To be fair the 3 players leaving have all received offers that are hard to turn down. Even if we want them to stay- if they want to go then we've got accept it and move on.
He wasted many many oppertunities last season including the penalty which might have given us a stronger shout of staying up and taking the -10 last year. Still, i think he'd have been decent in league 1.
It is very unlikely I'll be there this week. Hurt my knee mid-week and I really ought to rest it. But if the weather isn't too hot and I get the primal urge to kick a piece of plastic around.. well I just hope I can resist!
