I didnt choose Saints - as with all of us, the club picks us in a way. The season under WGS that you refer was great and viewed by me as success when all things considered, likewise my ambitions for Saints are considerable of all factors - I dont expect us to with the Champions league in the next few years, but with the money spent I dont also expect us to be so far behind Norwich, Leeds, Colchester, Charlton, Swindon, Millwall ect

AP is doing an OK(ish) job, nothing more nowt less. Dependent on your expectations, ambition ect will determine your summary of AP so far. Some are obsessed with the past and really believe that AP had the world’s toughest job while others (me included) feel that he has one of the easier jobs and has been backed both by fans and owners. I expected more this season (particularly with all the £’s spent) so in my opinion he has so far failed – my expectations (as proven) are a lot higher than others on here, but that’s how I live my life and how I have become so successful. Never settle for second best and right now AP’s ‘OK’ job would give him till Xmas, without significant improvements he should go……

Yep I agree we need another CM - however how many teams in L1 have quality replacements in each position. Most L1 sides struggle to field a decent 1st 11 let alone having 3 or 4 quality replacements chilling out on the bench. If Wotton or James had to play a few games each a season, we should still be far too good for everyone in L1

1st few games probably not - however I did expect a better return from the 1st 10 games. No team in L1 has quality throughout the side - opening game we have 6 or 7 players that would walk into any L1 side. Now we have the best squad in L1 no question

Players are good enough - therefore sadly the manager is in the spotlight.

im glad you're not in charge of our club - anyone that is pleased with results this season needs to wake up NOW! thankfully those in charge of Saints actually have ambition

someone is a light weight - not just our midfield then!!

best to leave him alone - the guy is clearly wasted its not really a fair fight

beat us at our place and with 10 men - they deserve some credit. our team cost about 20x as much, they would not have expected to win tonight.

some still think this season has been a success - our past failings has caused untold damage to some fans to expect and be content with so little is sooo sad
